Age 24 and 26 from england. Due to be travelling for one year as of November 2005. Off to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, and then roadtrip USA!!
Can't wait!
Hi guys! Well it has been a long time since we last blogged and most of you know we are well and truly back in the good old UK! Oh well, there is still a load of stuff we haven't had a chance to tell you and we have a load more pictures for you to check out...so here goes! We last blogged from Thailand, but moved on to the big old USA via our 20 hour Korea Air flight (Which was just as good as on the outward leg) and we embarked on a mini roadtrip in the south western USA. Arriving back in LA we went and picked up our new rental car that we pre-booked in Thailand, much easier than trying to sort things out directly here in LA. Being at the end

Next time you hear from us we will be back in the land of big cars and even bigger ham burgers! We are sat in our usual internet cafe in Bangkok waiting before we have to leave for the airport to embark on our 22 hour, 3 plane journey back to L.A on Korea Air.... via Japan and South Korea! Can't wait! Numb bum alert! We have just had our last noodle and rice meal, we will have to rely on some trips to Grandma's to get our fix of authentic thai food...just as we are getting used to the hot stuff
... read moreHi Guys We left KL on an overnight bus, there was no room on the other day time buses so we had to settle for an all night stint! In the end the 7 hour journey to Kota Bharu was fine, although we didn't sleep much. At least this bus was actually a VIP one like they promised unlike the tin pot one we had last time! We didn't sleep mainly due to the man snoring really really loud in front of us, but hey it was quite funny to watch! At some un-godly hour we stopped at a service station...well to you guys at home, it was more of a shack with some food stalls and the most minging squat toilets we have had in our whole time of travelling, we are quite happy with

We were in krabi last time we blogged so i have a bit to catch up on. We got ourselves a ticket on a happy clapper mini van leaving thailand on the 22nd August. So we were packing our bags the nite before and i checked that we had our passports. Of course they were there, BUT i read the visa date for leaving thailand and we were actually a day over the 30 days we were officially allowed!!!!! So what was in store for us, a few days in the bangkok hilton or sum lashes of the cane??? a quick reference to the Lonely Planet

We went to the Rai Leh penisular today on a long tail boat and we spent the day on the really nice beaches there. We were really impressed by them, the scenery was great. Its quite a haven for rock climbers, although some of the climbs looked a bit hairy to say the least...better just to watch! The journey back on the long tail was quite an epic too, the driver who took us there said he would pick us up at 4.30....4.30 came and went and we sat and waited hoping he might appear! He didn't, we weren't too bothered about getting another boat, the problem is they don't leave until they are full. So Liam and I
... read more Hi everybody, Since we last blogged we spent a chilled week in Koh Samui. We spent days cloud bathing and reading books, by night we took the markets by storm. Now we don't have long left we know what we can spend exactly...last time we were a bit conservative with buying things to save our money, but now its a free for all!! We are waiting to get to Malaysia to send it all back home as its much cheaper to do it from there. We also returned to the crazy golf we went to last time round, and yes Liam did win again! There was one day on the beach where there was a young Thai boy playing near to us, I smiled at him and from then on he went running up and

We had a few nights in bangkok and it was still as hot and humid as we had remembered. Chinatown was pretty cool and they were selling allsorts of dead and live food that you couldnt tell what it was??? Had one major thunderstorm that was really cool but we managed to keep dry. We also popped back to a few restaurants that we liked when we were here before which was cool. On our second day we trapsed out in the heat to buy our malaria tablets. We went in a few chinese ' chemists' and got either no response to our requests or they didnt have the tablets we wanted-some of the other offered

We were hearded onto this mammoth plane that was full. We sat down and had no little TV's in the headrest in front, but hey, we can deal with that no problem!! I am sure they showed Ice Age2 again. I think that film has haunted me on every single flight so far. Well we were a bit hungry and as it was a 5hour flight u may expect a spot of lunch eh? Not here-u had to buy it and the only offer was a chicken salad, not that good for bethan really. So we bought a 'snack pack'. And a meal has

We packed all our stuff up and got our taxi to nadi airport and jumped on our Fiji Air Pacific flight to Hawaii. I did half expect the flight to be a bit 'dodgy' but infact it was the complete opposite. Ace service, as much fiji bitter as i could sink and very happy air stewards, unlike some of the stroppy old cows we have come across!!!!! They describe themselves as the Islands In The Sky and i would def fly with thm again. Halfway through the flight the captain announced that we were landing in 20minutes. this would seem quite plausible except we had been flying for only 2 hours or so and

Most places are still on dial up...how did we cope with that back in the good old days ha ha!! Well back to business, we spent our last few days of New Zealand in Christchurch where we managed to escape the snow. We said our farewells to Twiggy-the old girl did 6200km with us!! We were really surprised how far we drove. We loved twiggy, although we loved the wicked vans too, she was easier to live in and we didn't ever wish we were in a hostel instead! Next stop Fiji! We had to take a short internal flight back to Auckland to catch our international connection. We checked in
