Your photos are awesome. I enjoyed reading your travel blog. I am going back to Switzerland this September and we are staying in Lucerne. We have not decided which mountain to go up...Mt. Pilatius or Top of Europe. Your pictures were awesome. Your blog gave me a better insight of the area. Thank you
haha yeah i saw vatican city. there's a pic of me there in front of St. Peter's Basilica. it was so amazing! I'll have to rub it in when i get back heh
dude, did you go check out Vatican City? you could have forever held it over our heads as the one place we (like the jesses and me) would never ever be able to see...
Yes it definitely is the best part. Monuments and scenery can be seen on postcards, but the people you meet are mostly what define the trip. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in August!
Enjoying your trip vicariously Cinque Terre looks wonderful. Soja is reliving her trips to Europe through you. Isn't the best part meeting all these new people, besides seeing all the wonderful sights.
I'm booking my ticket! These photos and your description of Cinque Terre brought back a flood of memories. I recall seeing the hiking path snaking through the hills and thinking, "Next time".
Hi Carol, I hope I bring back some good memories for you. I'm excited to get to Prague in July. I've heard nothing but good things about it from the people I've met traveling! I have a couple of friends from med school who I'm meeting there.
haha well you can imagine that i went up there to sing. yeah i was thinking there must be something better about the Spanish steps given that so many people go there. I'll try to keep the updates regular so you can keep procrastinating. I spent the day lying on the beach in Nice... does that make you feel better about studying? i'm sorry that was just cruel :P
Ha you can definitely tell that I'm supposed to be studying for midterms this week since I've mostly spent my time reading and commenting on your blogs. A couple of thoughts regarding this one: first, I enjoy the "authentic Roman cigarette" that the Authentic Roman guard is smoking. second, I agree with you that the Spaninsh steps are underwhelming, but in their defence, they offer the best view of Rome at sunset, because the sun sets right opposite them, right behind the dome of St. Peter. I think the sunsets are what they're actually famous for, with tourists anyway.
Nice oh yeah, that's definitely on the itinerary! I'm doing a boat cruise of the French Riviera tomorrow that also includes some lying on a beach time! every city i've been to has something different to offer! hope your summer's going well too!
That's a spectacular shot from the campanile! I hope you took it in high-res. According to your itinerary you should be in Nice right now. I do hope you make some time to get yourself a tan, because that seems to be the #1 activity in Nice apparently. A bien tot!
You should do the New Munich Free Walking Tour....it's a tour of Munich...and you walk around.....and it's free. Who knew?
It starts in Marienplatz (one of the main plazas) around 10.45 or 11.45 i think every morning...and the guides wear red shirts. And definitely go to the Hofbrauhaus.
