I made it to Buenos Aires But not without a whole lot of adventure of course...After Cartagena I stayed on the Caribbean coast and ended up in the smallish town of Santa Marta. We arrived at the hostel I was still travelling with the Irish girls I met on the boat from Panama and we were each given a drawing of a vagina and were told to hang on to these for later. What the... Turns out it was

Well needless to say its been an adventures few weeks. San Jose was a lot different than I remember it from 8 years ago. A lot more cosmopolitan. Did some good shopping and some good wandering. But after a few days started to get the beach urge again. Made my way to Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side. It is amazing just how different the Caribbean is from the Pacific visually and culturally. S

Hi again from the lovely surf town of Santa Teresa. Still living the beach life which consists of a lot of surfing reading more surfing and perhaps some serious lying around. Tough life. But I have managed to do some cultural outings. After I got to montezuma I rented a bike in town and biked the 9km to Cabo Blanco one of Costa Rica's first National parks. The bike ride was beautiful. Right al

Hola from the sweltering country of Costa Rica. Man is it hot here I guess thats what happens when you go to Central America in the middle of the dry season. After a month I finally left San Juan Del Sur but not without some trepidation. Absolutely loved the beaches people food...you name it. Also finally broke down and bought a surf board. Its a great used board that I rented from the nice

Hey everyone...sorry I suck at this blogging thing. All is good still in San Juan Del Sur. Really great place with lots of amazing people. Ive been staying on the neighbouring beach at a campsitehostel called Matildas. Absolutely stunning beach with barely anyone on it. At night I fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves and crazy howler monkeys. The surfing is great but I am getting the sn

Nicaragua

I finally made it off Utila island but not without some troubles. A huge storm came in and im convinced the boat captians just go whenever they want willy nilly so the boat didnt run for three days which doesnt seem like a long time but when its pouring rain and there is nothing to do but stare at each other it can seem endless. The ride itself was fun for me but I dont get seasick so I was

Hi everyone...still in Honduras I just can't leave this island...I've decided to stay here for Xmas. The divemasters have invited me to dinner and it sounds like it's going to be a feast and huge party so I couldn't pass it up. I'll hopefully make it to Nicaragua soon as I am looking forward to surfing. Still diving lots seeing tons of cool stuff. I really can't wait to dive all over the world

Hey everyone im in honduras in the Bay Islands getting my ass kicked by rain. But as of tomorrow i am a certified diver and am absolutely loving it.
So I finnished school the other day and got my diploma. Another piece of paper ive recieved from some school that will do absolutely nothing for me. I could wallpaper my room with these. Thats not entirely true...my spanish is much better than when I first got here. Now I at least have some idea what the hell is going on. The last few days have been awsome. Met some really amazing Americans can

Espaol Es Muy Dificil Today is my second day of Spanish school and my fourth day in Antigua. My day goes something like this1. Wake up to insane church bells that have no rythym and appear to go off at anytime not just on the hour.2. Eat whatever bizarre food my host family puts in front of me. Today I swear it was gruel but love her to death for trying.3. Practice spanish for 4 hours with my

I Should Have Been Born In The Jungle So the last week in Guatamala has been incredible. I finally got to Guatamala via Punta Gorda in Belize by the most dodgy boat ever. It was pouring and the boat was open so they put this tarp over us. I felt like a refugee. First off...the tarp had more holes than plastic so it was pretty futile. Second the wind was so strong that I couldnt hold the tarp d

Please...No More Rum Well...i'm slowly making my way down the coast of Belize. Caye Caulker was great. Spent way too much time soaked in rum but made a lot of friends and even managed to get some snorkelling in. Literally ate lobster for every meal. Really liked the Hol Chan marine reserve. Got to touch a stingray and swim with nurse sharks. The only bummer is that my underwater camera doesn't s

How Did My Bag Get So Heavy So I fly out tomorrow and I've just packed my bags...preflight. I thought I was being so good and not bringing anything but somehow my bag weighs more than a small child. Scratch that...a fat child that is awkward and a tad bit smelly I attribute that to my last forray into Thailand. I'm just testing out this blog thing so that's it for now. Can't wait to be sitti
