Hi Becca, I am glad to hear that every thing is ok. I can't tell you how worried we all were here for a while as we had not had a blog from you either. It is nice to see that you are still having a great time and eating very well and drinking even more. I have seen some more photo's of your trip on facebook as your friends have posted them on your wall. It seems all very friendly and relaxing and uit looks like most of you are around the same age. So I am sure you have all got lots in common, Aunty Pat goes off to South Africa tomorrow on her travels so it will be a bit short on the ground for females around here. Victoria has got a bad case of swine flu, so is confined for at least 10 days. To cap it all we have a rapist on the loose around Randley so everyone is very nervous going out on there own. Still don't let the buggers grind you down so they say. It will be good to see you when you get back. Take care Love you Mum xxx

Hi Becca It sounds absolute heaven for you at the moment. I bet the clothes that you have had made are beautiful, because silk is very expensive here. I can't wait to see them. I should think you are in your eliment with all the different skin pamperings that you are having. The local people seem as fascinated with you as you are with them. I should imagine you will have a few tasty morcels of your own that you can make when you come back home. It seems like a wonderful trip that you have got yourself involved in. You look very well and look as if you have some great friends. The killing fields on the other hand are another matter, very gruesome. It looks like you are having a great time with all the differnt people that you are meeting.It is also a nice treat for you to have all the pampering, what with massages,pedicures and facials.Something that we cannot afford to have over here too often. Hi Becca I must say I am envious of you with all that pampering. It looks as though you are having a wail of a time. You paint a lovely picture of the children. It is just a way of life that they have learnt because there is nothing else for them. I think I would have given in to them, but you know me a soft touch. You say that the rest of the party are leaving in a few days. I hope that your new found friend isn't one of them. I feel better that you have someone with whom you have bonded. Keep up the good work of telling us about your adventure, I do look every day. The food sounds really good, just up my street, although like you said ,I would prefer not to share my experiance with frogs. Continue having a great time and filling us in with your exploits. Hi Becks have just read your log entry for the 16th. Can't blame you wanting to chill and enjoy more massages!! sounds like you are dealing with the changes in culture well and finding your own way to deal with the continual asking for money, not an easy thing to do. Look forward to hearing what you get upto next and am glad you have made plenty friends to enjoy your journey with. I should think it must seem like a lifetime since you left already but the longer you are there the sooner you get home so continue to explore, experience and enjoy every minute of every day. I cant find the edit button so am putting the rest here!
I forgot to add that after the killing fields we went on a tour of phnom penh on things called cyclos. Basically they are a bycycle with a seat with wheels attached to the front. You sit in the seat and a bloke cycles you around! It was really funny as there were 13 cyclos for all of us and they started racing each other and shouting and hitting each other. They stopped at a couple of different locations to take pictures like a temple and a pagoda but it was raining so we didn't hang about for long. It was more fun in the cyclos anyway. At then restaurant I had a dish called lok lak which is rice, australian beef, fried egg, some veg and pepper sauce. The best way to eat it is to just mix it all up together and dive in. It was very good. Afterwards we went to a bar where there was a local band playing. They played all Western music - everything from Whitney Houston to Radiohead! xxx

H Becca, It is 2 in the morning here and I have just logged on because I can't sleep. I am not sure I will be able to for sometime to come after reading your latest blog about the torture and killings. Still as you say we have to know about these atrocities, I hope it hasn't desturbed you too much. It seems like you are being well looked after and that the trip is well organised, and that there are some good people around you so I am sure you will be safe. I am enjoying reading all about your experiances and hope that you are able to get the feedback that is left for you on here. Everything is ok back here, the routine has got back to normal after the summer break, so things are hectic at times. Take care of yourself and enjoy every moment. Miss you and love you Mum xxx

Hi Becks. We're glad that you are safe, well and happy and having such a brilliant time! Can't believe you have been eating snakes! Yuk! It's fantastic that you have been having some wonderful treatments and having clothes tailored for you. These are special days for you to remember and some indulgence balances up some of the more upsetting things you've come across on your trip like the Killing Fields.
