Hello bloggers We have had an action packed few days since our last blog. Where Carrie left you we were just preparing to do a cooking course which we did. Have to say not the most exciting morning - basically choping lots of veg then watching a lady stir it in a pan but hopefully we have something new to cook when we get home. We then got the bus to Phonm Pehn, Cambodia's capital. In Phonm Pehn, we went to the Killing Fields which is a pretty grim place to go. First thing you see is thousands of skulls on display and the video/museum goes into detail about what happened (I will spare you the details). We then went to the Royal Palace which was ok but not very exciting compared to Angkor. We were ... read more

Managed to avoid ladyboys but nursing a bit of a hangover this morning. Carrie is in bed with "food poisoning" - hope she is feeling better so we can head to Cambodia tomorrow. So the last blog was from Jalsemer (as you no doubt will know it is called the Golden City) which is a pretty small town whcih was nice as we could walk around it and explored the old fort there. We then headed to the desert and went camel riding which was an experience! When the Lonely Planet advised girls to wear a sports bra ... read more

We headed to Agra which was a bit of a treck and it seemed to take 3 hrs to get out of Delhi, but when we did hit the highway we saw/overtook some interesting sights inc... - a camel - sheep grazing on the central reservation - houndreds of cows - lorries driving the wrong way down the outside lane - horsedrawn carts - 4 people on a moped - bicycles - people crossing the road without looking....etc Agra is the home of the Taj Mahal - a pretty impressive site and takn loads of pictures. Definately worth the trials of gettng there!!! Also hit loads ... read more

Anyhow, great flight and then first call Delhi....well who knew what to expect.....we had a shocker of a journey from the airport to our hotel....the taxi driver was mental and i can safely say i have never been so afraid in my life. My hands were white by the time we reached the hotel. The hi-light was a guy trying to sell model planes in the middle of busy roundabout.....talk about a culture shock!! There are so many cars on the road and instead of keeping in a lane they just swerve into each other adn beep each other and pedestraains ... read more

Looking forward to keeping you up to date with our progress. I am all packed and ready. Carrie is yet to put a single item in her ruck sack and her bag is looking a little small! I fear she may try to get me to leave some of my stufff behind to make space. Think on Carrie...think on. So, almost time to go...1st stop Delhi, immodium packed, ready to go!
