We have just returned from driving across France and Italy!!! Italian drivers are M.A.D. and overtake on blind bends on mountain roads i n torrential rain, with one hand on the wheel and the other talking into their mobile!!!! Tunnel had a fire so we did not get back that way and had to go on the net for a ferry. Got back earlier than the tunnel anyway. Grandad fine, although he has managed to break his washing machine in our absence. Weather in Italy wasgood. Saw Pisa, Florence and Siena and opther places too, but we were up in mountains so no sea! | 6th September 2008 team ellis | soz for not mailing for a bit - From: Argentina was great!! hi U2. things have been hectic, went from Riley's brithday party to busy busy at work, riley's actual birthday (he's like the queen having 2!) and then off to italia. been doing some trekking of our own up the hills in lake como (didn't see george or brad even tho they are apparently there at the mo!), i however have an extra 2 stone to trek up hills in the shape of riley who although he now runs (he was never going to just walk was he that would be BOOORRRIINNG) is a lot smaller and so slower and has to be picked up all the time otherwise. he DOES NOT like being in the pushchair at the minute. mum says he's just like i was (is that good or not?????.. probably not!) love, hugs etc, hope you are having the bestest time. not long to go now i bet it's flying by. xxxxx p.s riley says thanks for his pressies especially the rocket which he likes to press buttons on and get the astronauts in and out of. marvellous (daddy likes it to....) xxx p.p.s how are the caiprinhas going down?? mark finished our cachaca off at the party. |

The weather is pants and there's been times where we could have gone white water rafting on our beck this summer! | 15th August 2008 lyns and the boys | riley's next - From: Leaving La Paz!! sorry didn't email yesterday but hope you got my text from the team! glad you managed the hike, not easy at times but it's well worth the view at the sun gate isn't it! riley the little monster is walking ahhh. he's so cute though, the current fave is to scrunch his nose up like some sort of devil child whilst laughing hysterically. he also waves and claps on command. i've decided to be an army style mother like family von trapp (stopped short of using a whistle though) as riley does not sit still and has his mitts in EVERYTHING. the joys of parenthood!!!! anyway. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU (and the rest of the song). Hope you had a top one, memorable at the least!!! glad to see you are doing everything, go crazy until you get to rio and then sit on the beach drinking caipirinha for a few days to recover!!!! i'm soooo jealous as it brings back memories of what a fab trip we had and want to do it all again!!!! Skegness was awesome at the weekend. 30 degrees, all the beer and arcades you could want - why go abroad? Despite being the @r$e of England, Boston was surprisingly nice too and it all made me wonder whether its worth going all the way to South America......
