| 31st October 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Don't you want the treasure box? Probably filled with goodies! aka Tokyo Game Show 2008 Lol, well, the US is pretty boring most of the time too. ^^ But I know what you mean. I'm rather sad that I can't stay here for a whole year, but I must graduate, ahaha. |
| 26th October 2008 Eiko | - From: Don't you want the treasure box? Probably filled with goodies! aka Tokyo Game Show 2008 o____O EIKO COSPLAY! Awwwwwwww~ Oh you don't know how much I want to visit Tokyo right now T_T So many games and plushies and... *sigh* Why is Germany so boring? |

Probably filled with goodies! aka Tokyo Game Show 2008 I DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM MORE EXCITED ABOUT!! TWEWY!! AWESOME FFIV!! MORE KINGDOM HEARTS STUFF YAAAAAY and the plushies?? OMG so cute I want them!! I would be a MUCH cuter Shiki than the girl in that picture, bee tee dubs. I think I want to make a Shiki costume like whoa!! Are we going to be able to hit any cons next year at all? I know we probably can't make ACEN cause of all the graduations, but I wasn't sure about Detour. But we should, cause my friend Laura might go to Detour, too, and we could actually hang out with people this time! :) ANYWAY it looks awesome and I AM SO JEALOUS! |
| 18th October 2008 Ultraman | - From: Don't you want the treasure box? Probably filled with goodies! aka Tokyo Game Show 2008 Have you checked out Mandrake, a Japanese toy store chain? ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/index.do |
| 10th October 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: What is that? -Nothing, is from the wizard's tower. Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick' me in a stew, boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew!!!!! I love going to random shrines and temples, ahaha. It's so much fun, and I tend to take way more pictures than I should! XD I SHOULD HAVE YELLED THAT OMG HOW COULD I NOT HAVE???????????////??/???/ I must go commit seppuku now because I am not worthy of the power of Talpa. LOL LOL the red trinity. Oh yes. That trinity was the best one in the whole game, and we all know why. I didn't even think of that before, but yes, that does remind me of that, AHAHA. I MISS YOU TOO!!!! |
| 10th October 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: What is that? -Nothing, is from the wizard's tower. Yeah, most days are pretty busy, though once I get home and get my homework done I can pretty much do whatever. And most of my time on campus that I'm not in class or eating is spent online, LOL. So I guess it's not too bad. The only days that are a bit long are when I have three classes and I go late. Then it kinda sucks. Ahaha, I was so excited about the anime. And indeed! They still have the original VHSs for rent. The only place I've ever seen VHS to buy are in old pawn shops and such, but there were a lot to rent. I know, it's quite weird! I'm lucky that the TV in my room has a VHS player!! And d'aww, thanks~! <3 |
| 8th October 2008 They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard! | The hobbits the hobbits the hobbits the hobbits to Isengard! - From: What is that? -Nothing, is from the wizard's tower. I really want to see all these random shrines and temples!! I am so jealous, I bet they are all so pretty and nice looking. And I am lol-ing because you talked to someone about RONIN WARRIORS. If you did not yell MASTER TALPA, WHAT IS ITS POWER?!?!?1 (yes, with a one) I am going to be very upset with you. Okay, so Carly and I have decided that over Thanksgiving Break we are going to try out the Chrono Trigger wifi new option! I have my copy reserved at the game stop here! I am so excited!! I can't wait for it to come out!! Wheee!! Also, the name of that restaraunt- Surprise Donkey- do you know what that reminds me of??? ..... SURPRISE!! BUTTSECHS!!! lol or as I like to call it, "red trinity". I MISS YOU!! |
| 7th October 2008 Eiko | - From: What is that? -Nothing, is from the wizard's tower. Seems like you're pretty busy all day long... isn't it a bit too much sometimes? I had to giggle because of Digimon and Doremi XD You know I love that shows as well! Haha... oh well... but are there really still VHS to rent/buy? Wow... I didn't expect that! I hope you'll have a nice day with your friends next weekend x3 |
| 1st October 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: I'm Captain Basch! Don't believe Ondore's lies! Yes, that part is truly amazing. More than you can even imagine. It might just be the best part of the game (besides Gilgamesh of course, nothing can beat him XD). Oooh, yes! The Kirby game! It's so much friggin' fun! I just played through the Meta Knight game the other night and it was so awesome, ahaha. You basically go through each of the other games only as Meta Knight, and you even get some cut-scenes with him. And it's so cute because you can call on either Sword or Blade to come help you. Nnnngh. Cute. Oh, and when you beat Revenge of Meta Knight in the normal Kirby one, you get to see Meta Knight without his mask and it's uber uber uber uber uber adorable. Well, if you don't have it by the time I come home, you can play mine, lol. |
| 1st October 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Well, I could be wrong, but I believe diversity is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era. Way to be slow on them, lol. You're missing all the exciting and wonderful action!! I know though! Seriously! Books that are 400 yen here are friggin' $10 at home! What is that? Does it really cost that much more to make them in the US? Because I don't believe it. Random. Ahaha, yes, I will show you the Mario manga. It's hilarious. I hope to find more volumes of it as I frequent different Book-Offs, lol. Though it's really really random because as you get further along in the series, like... random characters starting appearing. Like the Donkey Kong characters! What is that?????? Which reminds me... Funky... Koooooooong!!!!! |
| 1st October 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: I'm Captain Basch! Don't believe Ondore's lies! Ahahaha, that totally makes me want to go watch that Mega64 clip again, because it is pure hilarity. I wish that streaming things wasn't so galdurn slow here. >_> Oh, the okonomiyaki? YES! It is amazing. I wish they had it in the US because I would eat it all the time!! Lol, well, you never know in Japan. Stranger things have probably happened. XD I'm sure they will come in the mail soon! What are you gonna do with them when you get them?? And ahaha, well, considering that Final Fantasy in general is one of the biggest fandoms ever, only surpassed by probably Harry Potter and/or Lord of the Rings, I would have to say that yes, you are probably going to see it wherever you look. Oh, that is very sad! Well, then again... you do have a reputation for stalking people so I am not at all surprised, LOLOLOL. Sure. AHUCK!!! BTW I laughed a lot at the e-mail and comment title. A lot. |
| 30th September 2008 Link | Wait...I'll grab my stuff! - From: I'm Captain Basch! Don't believe Ondore's lies! BASCH LIVES! Hahaha I can't wait 'til I get to that part! Anyway, that whole thing about Tentomon...I can't believe you still listen to that song! XD Ohmygosh. Haha. Too funny. I got my Nintendo Power today! And it talked about the Kirby game - and it does sound awesome! But I have no moneys. :( Wahhhh~ So I'm not sure when I'll be able to buy it! Boooooo. Hmmm what else....I always forget what I'm going to sayyy! Ughshfsdjfldskfjsl |
| 30th September 2008 Japas's Twin Brother | I like the ALTO better.... - From: Well, I could be wrong, but I believe diversity is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era. I'm finally getting caught up on your entries! Whew! Anyway - this sounds like a very interesting trip! Ugh, I wish manga would be as cheap here! It's like highway robbery! BLKSSD. Bring in the cheapness, please. You'll have to show me the Mario manga you're talking about! And Kirby! YAY! :D Yeahhh that's all I got. |
| 26th September 2008 Nooj | My what a devilishly handsome creature... - From: I'm Captain Basch! Don't believe Ondore's lies! I'M CAPTAIN BASCH! I'M BASCH VON ROSENBURG!! ... pppssttt... shhhh... don't believe Ondore's lies. LOL that title cracked me up. That stuff looks YUMMY I really want to try some now! There is probably nowhere that I can get something yummy and amazing like that, haha, but I really want some!! I hadn't heard from you in awhile so I was hoping that you hadn't been run over by rabid fangirls or something equally terrifying while in Japan, haha. And my TWEWY pins have NOT come in the mail yet, I am very sad about this. But I'm so annoyed with everyone I know writing FF fic that we have declared a Non-FF fic week that may turn into a month. I'm so tired of seeing all FF stuff everywhere I look!! Good thing I have a whole bunch of random comms like Animorphs, ehh?? Oh and that note I wrote to C. Ralph? It was an old fanmail address so I don't think he will ever get it! This saddens me like you cannot believe. My friend Jes is going to stalk the 3 C. Ralphs we found in Toronto using the phone book (haha stalker) and see if any of them are him. BWAHAHAHA!! KIMAHRI WANTS SEX0R!! |
| 22nd September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Well, I could be wrong, but I believe diversity is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era. Oh yes. Lots and lots of manga. It's pretty much everywhere I go. XD Though it's so hard to find anything!! Pretty much everything I read is now 'old' in Japan, so there's not a whole lot of merchandise for it, but I try to look for stuff everywhere I go. AHAHAHA ok, that cracks me up. So basically it's just a red-tailed hawk plushie? X3 Yeah, that pretty much makes me laugh. But you will have to show it to me, lol. Oh, I did get the Mario manga. I have like... six volumes of it now. 1, 2, 3, 5, 11 and 14 or something like that. I look for more of it whenever I go to a Book Off, but that one I went to first had the most. It's so friggin' hilarious. Ahaha, ok, I will be on the look-out for World Ends With You stuff, though I haven't seen a whole lot of it yet. And you could just make your own pins, lol. They're cheaper than ones that other people would make! XD But yeah. I'M A SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK!!! |
| 19th September 2008 Queen Beryl | She grabs you by the neck and squeezes!! - From: Well, I could be wrong, but I believe diversity is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era. OMG YOU WERE LOOKING AT MANGA?!?! You better get me some!! If you find any cute Fruits Basket stuff or Lovely Complex or anything like that, I totally want some!! Oh, and you will be excited, today I got my TOBIAS PLUSHIE!! It's a little plushie red-tailed hawk and it makes noises when you press its tummy! Like when he dive-bombs controllers!! ITS SO CUTE omg I love it so much. If you find that Mario manga you have to get it, cause it sounds awesome. ALMOST as awesome as the Super Mario Bros. 3 DVDs... but I don't think anything can be that awesome. Oh and if you find anything from The World Ends With You (pins probably!!) I totally want it for Christmas. xD I love that game so much. I might look on like cafepress to see if anyone has made TWEWY pins that I could put on my purse and stuff. Cause the pins are like the main part of the game!! Okay I am off. I'M A SHAAAAAAAAAAARK!!! |
| 19th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: I'm so good, I'm so good, I'm so utterly good~~~~~~~~~~! Ahaha, ok, I will look for a hungry luma. I don't know how well the search will go though. XD *sigh* Yes, the pink phone. But it's not ridiculously pink. Only kind of pink. So it's ok. LOL I know, I took a lot of pictures on Saturday. I got kind of picture happy. Yes, mom told me about your part. That seriously cracks me up, AHAHA. I wish I could be there to see the play!! |
| 19th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: I'm so good, I'm so good, I'm so utterly good~~~~~~~~~~! Ahahah, ok, I will take a picture of it eventually. XD And I'm still not sure what all the rules are for my phone yet. I can text up the wazoo, but only if you have an e-mail address for your phone. The only other phones I can text directly to numbers from are Softbank phones. And calling in general is very expensive in Japan, even on cell phones. I know that I can't call *out* to international places, but I don't know what the rules are for incoming calls. ^^ No, I haven't found any vending machines with panties yet, LOL. Mainly just drink ones, some food ones, and some cigarette ones so far. LOL I'm sure they have some Happosais here too, ahahaha. I hope Carly knows you can have more people in your party!!! AHAHAHA I just relived the hilarious memory of you having to do that. Oh, Ba'Gamnan. I'm in the last place in FFIV. Leveling up some. Though I'll got a long ways in and then went back to save just in case, which was a good thing because then I came upon a treasure box with a surprise battle... and it was a RED D. HOYLE! It killed me. >_> And yes, the video = much win. You must watch it. |
| 19th September 2008 Mr. Glowy Eyes | Mario, you're gonna die! - From: I'm so good, I'm so good, I'm so utterly good~~~~~~~~~~! LUMAAA!! YOU MUST FIND ME A HUNGRY LUMA. THE CUTEST OF ALL THE LUMAS. I WANT ONE! I find it incredibly humourous that you got the pink phone. Bahaha! Now you and Mom are phone twins! It took me 10 min to go through all those pictures! AH! Too many zombies, too many zombies! I feel all mushy and tingly inside! Mom told you a got a part in Dracula right? I'm this crazy lunatic lady who eats flies and spiders and stakes Dracula! It's so awesome! :D |
| 18th September 2008 Karate Man Yang | ACCHHOOOO!! - From: I'm so good, I'm so good, I'm so utterly good~~~~~~~~~~! I WANNA SEE A PICTURE OF THE MARIO THING!! And does this mean that you can call/text us again?? Cause that would make me very excited if I could talk to you again! The pictures look really cool, just seeing the city and what it looks like is super neat. Its like both similar and different to stuff here at the same time, haha. Which is pretty cool if you think about it. Have you found any vending machines with women's panties yet? Cause you could be all Happosai and be like PANTIEEEES. I guess they really have those over there (panty machines, not Happosais... though they could have Happosais, too). OH and does Carly know that you can put more people in your party than just Vaan?? The mines was where I um.. didn't know that... and was running away from B'Gamnan with JUST VAAN!!! AND SKELETONS WERE ATTACKING ME!! It was so very scary!! I don't think I'm going to ever finish FFIV DS (because I never got dualcast cause they expect us all to play with guides WTF) so I watched the end on youtube hahaha. I will watch the video you gave me tonight when I get home!! (youtube is blocked at work haha) Okay~~ enough from me. Miss you!! <3 |
| 17th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut. That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nuts!" No, you didn't, LOL. I knew you would appreciate the quote though, ahaha. Yes, Japanese Grandpa Barnes is teaching me well. He's actually more of a slow talker. Just like Grandpa Barnes. XD And AHAHAHAHAHA I KNOW I don't know what's up with Seymour, but it cracks me up. I haven't asked my mom what's it's for though, lol. And yeah, the shower's weird, but it doesn't take too long to get used to, considering that you use it every night. Hmmm, maybe it's just an American thing that the toilets and the shower are in the same room. Not really sure... even when I was in the seminar house for orientation week, they had a whole separate bathroom for showers and toilets. Oooh, the Lhusu Mines? I like the music there. That means you have Larsa, right? Do you like the battle system? I'm in love with that battle system, it's so much fun, ahaha. I know the feeling about school though!! Blech! But I have less classes here than I would at home, so that at least is nice. |
| 17th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut. That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nuts!" LOLOLOL reallystupidhair.com. Ok, I'm laughing a lot now. And it's so true - it's the only place he *deserves* to be because he is so very stuuuuuupid. Yeah, though, the house is both big and small at the same time, LOL. Like, there aren't a whole lot of rooms, but the kitchen area is fairly big and comfy, even though it's packed full of stuff, AHAHA. Yeah, I'm assuming they don't have a whole lot of storage space. Even the room upstairs that I haven't actually gone into but have seen a few times is packed full of stuff!!!! Ahahaha, JDramas kind of crack me up. A lot of my friends here are really into them as well, though I haven't seen a lot so I feel so out of the loop!! LOL I will have to watch some more. And hey, I would have to have them subtitled too. I'm not *that* great with Japanese, ahaha. |
| 17th September 2008 Japas 2 | Japas 2 loves Lulu..............what? - From: Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut. That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nuts!" I can't remember if I commented or not! FAIL. Pinenut. Heh, that's a town! Is Japanese Grandpa Barnes teaching you well? Or is he the one who talks too fast? Oh man, those students who you helped...they must think so poorly of Americans now. XD Heheh kidding! OMGWTFSEYMOUR! Did you ask your mom what the purpose of that is? That's great!! That shower sounds weird. I have enough trouble with American showers. ^^;; The toilet reminds me of the rooms in Paris - they had the toilet in a room separated like that. I'm just about to enter the mines in FFXII...it's pretty fun, but I don't have a lot of time to play! Boo school. Talk to you later! |
| 14th September 2008 Seymour | SEYMOUR!!! - From: Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut. That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nuts!" LOL THE SEYMOUR ACTION FIGURE!!! You know it IS fitting for him to be in such a stuuuupid place since he is SO DUMB!! That house looks bigger than I thought it was going to be, since everything you see about Japan always talks about how small and compact everything is. Except that I would fall down those stairs like 53523523 times hahaha. And it is rather full of stuff, isn't it?? I bet they don't have very many places to store things. It's really cool to see what it looks like!! I totally want to get into some JDrama shows because some of my friends really like them, and now I'm all intrigued. But since I speak nothing, I'd have to have them subtitled hahaha. :) |
| 12th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: I'm singing... I'm in a store, and I'm singing! I'm in a store, AND I'M SIIIINGIIIING!!! Yes, I know! It was very gross! I hope that I'm not forced to eat anymore, though it was really so bad that I will probably end up refusing it if she brings it out again, LOL. And yes, it will be quite a change now, coming back home to a simple cereal breakfast, AHAHA. I took some pictures the other day around the house, so I will put them up with my next post. And I took a picture of the Seymour action figure too, woo! Way to not have unlocked Funky Kong. Geez. LOL Oooh, FFXII! I've been playing FFXII: Revenant Wings lately, because I really wanna play FXII for some reason, and that's the closest I have. It's pretty fun, though. And I love how it uses all the same music from XII. What part are you at? |
| 12th September 2008 Funky Kong | *pelvic thrust* FUN-KY KONG! - From: I'm singing... I'm in a store, and I'm singing! I'm in a store, AND I'M SIIIINGIIIING!!! Ewww umeboshi! That is nastttyyy. That is a huge breakfast! You're going to be so spoiled when you get home! How was class with Japanese Grandpa Barnes?! I bet it was most excellent! You need to take pictures of the rest of the house so I can imagine it! Boo hurry up! And what?! You must explain the Seymour action figure! That sounds terrifying! Haha. And no, I haven't unlocked Funky yet. Mario Kart has been fail so I haven't been playing much lately - I've been playing FFXII. w00t! |
| 11th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: I'm singing... I'm in a store, and I'm singing! I'm in a store, AND I'M SIIIINGIIIING!!! Ok, this e-mail address had me laughing just as hard as the Charles one. MASTER TALPA!! WHAT IS ITS POWER???????????? Ahaha, oh yeah, the twins? Suboshi and Umiboshi? I think. Ahaha, it's been so long since I've watched that. And YES I do remember that! LOL That makes me laugh a lot!!! Kind of like that Sailor Moon one too. That was a glorious and hilarious day. But yes, I can see the e-mail addresses. And they make me laugh. A lot. In fact, people are probably looking at me strange since I'm in the computer lab. Iiiiiiiiii'm useless!!! |
| 11th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: My glasses! I can afford new glasses! Ok, so when I first brought up the comments to read the new ones, I was like... what... who is Charles????? And then I looked at the e-mail address and I couldn't stop laughing!!!!!!!!!! LOLOLOL That just like... made my whole day. The Tommy Lee Jones ad makes me laugh everytime I see it. There's one over near the east gate, and then there's another one... I can't remember where, but I remember seeing it. And he looks so serious too!! AHAHA. Well, over here, you have to be a bit more careful with your sushi. Everyone that I've had that's been wrapped in seaweed's been really good, mainly because the amount of other stuff in it is limited. When you don't have that, you basically get a bit slab of raw fish on top of some rice with wasabi in it. Coincidentally, it doesn't take BAD, but it's just so friggin' huge that you can barely fit it in your mouth! And that's... a lot of fish. >_> |
| 10th September 2008 Master Talpa | WHAT IS ITS POWER?!?! - From: I'm singing... I'm in a store, and I'm singing! I'm in a store, AND I'M SIIIINGIIIING!!! Umeboshi!! Oh THAT is what that means! I always wondered and it sounds like the guy from that stuuuuupid Fushuugi Yuugi show... except he wasn't the stupid one, Miaka was the stupid one. WAIT do you remember that HILARIOUS Miaka cosplayer picture we found where she was like THIS HUGE LADY THAT LOOKED LIKE A DUDE and it was really funny?!?! HAHAHA I just thought of that again. I hope you are enjoying all of my funny email addresses. Wait, can you see the email addresses? Because I am making them hilarious. Tell me if you can't and I'll stop trying to be funny all the time. ANYWAY.... I lost my train of thought. UM!! I shall come back later but it is time to leave work now!! |
| 10th September 2008 Charles | CHARLES!!! - From: My glasses! I can afford new glasses! Okay so the picture of Tommy Lee Jones is actually just as funny as the title to this blog haha. Also, he ALMOST counts as a half-naked man so you are SORT OF fulfilling your duties to take lots of hilarious pictures for me. The foliage ones are funny. Heehee! I want to try all the nummy sushi, too!! |
| 9th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: It's so hot... milk was a bad choice. Yeaaaaah, it was a bit awkward. It's gotten better now, though. AHAHAHAHA Ok, I seriously laughed out loud at that. "Your hot family". LOL ANYWAY, yeah, it's going to take some getting used to, but I'm hopefully absorbing some of it too, lol. Or at least am getting used to listening to Japanese quicker. I can understand a lot more when it's slower... but... everyone always talks so fast!!! I know, I can't believe I ate squid either. I was like.... uhhh, I don't know what this is, but I'm gonna have to eat it. >_> I was just surprised that it actually didn't taste *bad* it was just so super, super chewy. And it's hard for me to stick the whole piece of sushi in my mouth 'cuz they're so big! Anyways, ahaha. I'll make you drink more!! And way to have nothing funny to say, you little baby chicken wimp. Muuurahahaahaha. Sure. BTW have you unlocked Funky Kong yet????????????????????????????? |
| 9th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: It's so hot... milk was a bad choice. They want me to take a shower at night, because that's when they have all the water ready and such (it's the whole way they do Japanese baths). I*would* want to take a shower in the morning, because I feel gross all day when I shower at night, but I'll just have to get used to it, ahaha. And yes, it's actually a fairly large room. I like it. _< But my other classes are all in English, so those don't really feel that different from normal college classes, ahaha. |
| 9th September 2008 ME | The ball went up my butt - From: It's so hot... milk was a bad choice. Wow, way to make the meet-and-greet awkward. Great job. XD Mwhahaha. Your hot (<--thats what I typed, I mean host) family seems really nice! That must be weird to be hearing Japanese all the time. XD Your rooms cute! I like the little rooms they have, they're cute and cozy. ^_^ Some of the checklist stuff is weird though...like if you miss the bus, you're supposed the stay at a friend's house? Wtf? Haha. I can't believe you eat squid! And they expect you to clean the plate! I would be dead already if it was me. Good job! Way to not be thirsty loser. You need to drink more. Anyway, ta ta for now! lskdjfldskjfsl I have nothing funny to say....*sad!panda* |
| 8th September 2008 Eiko | - From: Let's go to Kyoto! (Ha, this time the pictures work! XD) Kyoto looks so cool... I want to visit it someday, too. But I'm sure it's pretty hard to look inside the Manga and Doujin Shops without being able to buy everything you want!!! *lol* (Okay, but it's also pretty hard for me to have a look at the pictures... *SOB*) |
| 8th September 2008 Eiko | - From: It's so hot... milk was a bad choice. Why do you have to shower at night? Are you too busy to take a shower in the morning or has this any other reasons? Your room seems to be pretty big for a Japanese room, isn't it? I expected them to be smaller xD And the cute plush-rabbit reminds me of Kuma-chan (... as far as I remember) from Gravitation |D haha~ so cute! By the way... are the classes in Japanese or English? oo; |
| 5th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: My glasses! I can afford new glasses! AHAHAHA yeah, she would probably be confused by them! LOL You should tell her that she just needs to get up on her movie lingo. Geez!! And yes, I will get Japanese Grandpa Barnes. XD I am quite le excited. I know! And that's not even the normal McDonald's, it's only the small campus one! It might be even more complicated at a normal one. Ummm... like... none, pretty much. Yeah. Oh wait. One. Yeah, I think I saw one once. But they're pretty much non-existant. Aside from sumo wrestlers. ^^ Ahahaha, yeah, I should have played it, though I couldn't even figure out how it worked! I did get a little Mario keychain at one of those little things you put coins in. It was a goomba. It was very cute. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmhmmmmm. Lol. |
| 5th September 2008 MREOW | sdlkfjsdlk - From: My glasses! I can afford new glasses! MY GLASSES! Haha! Mom asked me what was up with all your titles and I told her only I would get them! XD It was funny. Glad you got the classes you want! Now you get Japanese Grandpa Barnes! Yessss. Haha, I like how the McDonalds is more complicated than ours. That's because Americans are too dumb to understand something like that. (Not to mention to fat!) How many fat Japanese have you seen? Nice Tommy Lee Jones. That makes me think of MIB. AWW the Miyazaki corner is sooo cute! jdsflksdjl You should have played that Mario game. It was probably made of awesome. And lol, Yu-Gi-Oh! Jeez. Too bad you don't have any cards anymore! Mmmmhhmmmm dlkfjsd bye! |
| 4th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: My glasses! I can afford new glasses! I know, I am very excited!! I'm really looking forward to going on field trips around the Kansai area. Now I just have to find out what spoken Japanese class I'm going to be in! ^^ And yeah, I believe that is Kyoto. Lots of traditional shrines and such. So I can't wait to go! I'll probably use up like, my whole camera, AHAHA. Thanks~!! |
| 4th September 2008 Eiko | - From: My glasses! I can afford new glasses! You got all classes you want? Aw, congrats! ^_^ Green tea ice cream... T_T~ Aw, I want some, too! I'm glad you can buy this ice cream in Germany but it's quite expensive. But now I want to eat it again, haha. Kyoto is this city with all the shrines, isn't it? I hope you're taking some nice pictures! xD So... have fun tomorrow (ok, it's already 'today' for you XD) |
| 4th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: "Perfect... perfect...." "I thought you said the parkway!!!" I knew you would get it!!!! Ahahaha. I know, though! I was sad that we didn't watch it. We'll have to watch it over Christmas break. The lottery turned out to be pretty nice for me because I got all the classes I wanted!! Even the ones that I didn't think I would get into! Color me excited! AHAHAHAHA and that comment about Japanese Grandpa Barnes made me laugh quite a lot. His class should be pretty cool. I hope that my sisters are nice! One of them is a company employee and her hobby is martial arts. The other is an artist, and her hobby is dancing. Should be pretty cool. I hope they will help me with things I have questions with! ^^ AND YES SUSHI-GO-ROUND AHAHAHA. It reminded me quite a bit of the lickitung game. Yeah, that's what they were called, though I don't remember exactly how to spell it, eheh. But it was pretty much made of awesome. I can't even lie. I want a kappa plushie!!!! |
| 4th September 2008 Luigi Mario | jslkdfjnldskfsn;f' - From: "Perfect... perfect...." "I thought you said the parkway!!!" "So, how many Marios are there between the two of you?" "There's four - Mario Mario, and Luigi Mario." BAHAA. As soon as I saw the header I was like SDSKFL! XD We never watched it though...*sad panda* ANYWAY - the lottery thing sounds pretty sweet. It's nice not to have favorism towards other older students, so you have the same chance as anyone! Lucky you! GRANDPA BARNES! I love that guy! Man, I wish he was still subbing! He was pretty much made of awesome. I bet Japanese Grandpa Barnes is just as awesome. Your family sounds pretty sweet! But I'm thinking your Japanese sisters will not be NEARLY as cool as me and Katy. Well...they might be cooler than Katy but certainly not me. ;D Just kidding! SUSHI-GO-ROUND?! Does that not remind you of Pokemon Stadium? Remember that sweet game with the Lichitungs? (Or whatever they're called...) That's definitely what I thought of when I read that. XD Haha. KAPPAS!!! That's it. |
| 4th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Action-filled Day Oh no! Hmmm, somebody else said they couldn't get the pictures to load either. I know that this site runs slow at some points during the day, probably when their servers are really booked. During those times, I don't even like to *upload* pictures, because it takes so long. So it might just be that. But ahaha, yes! The Orlando Bloom thing was hilarious! I've seen a number of random American actresses/actors in ads over here, and none of them ever make any sense. ^^ LOL yes, it would be just my luck to finally get used to the timechange right before I leave. That would actually make me laugh a lot! At least then, I would come back and be on winter vacation, so I wouldn't have to do much for a while. |
| 4th September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: The first day Ahaha, I know! It was crazy! I'm going to have to be careful about what I spend in bookstores, lol. And the heated toilet seats are quite strange. I'm sure they would be nice in winter, when it's freezing, but in the summer, they don't really do much. XD Plus, they have all these strange buttons that I haven't tried yet because I'm too scared!! |
| 3rd September 2008 Eiko | - From: Action-filled Day Unfortunately none of these pictures can be displayed at the moment T_T~ I'll try it later again *sob* I'd love to see a original Karaoke Bar! We have some of them in Germany too but I'm sure they look different in Japan. And even without seeing the Orlando Bloom AD picture - reading your comment made me laugh so hard!!! It's amazing which actors or singers take part in Japanese ads... I'm sure they pay them pretty well oo; And time shifts are evil. I never had to go through this but some friends of mine told me about it. I'm sure you'll get used to this though... (probably some days before you leave... XD;; <- don't take this seriously XD) |
| 3rd September 2008 Eiko | - From: The first day All these manga and strategy guides... wow! I'm sure I wouldn't leave the book stores for hours! So many stuff to look at... And heated toilet seats *rofl* I guess only Japanese people are coming up with stuff like this XD |
| 3rd September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Action-filled Day Ahaha, it's probably pretty similar, yeah. Though, over here, they have this thing called the JPLT which has four different levels and gets really, really, really difficult. A lot of Japanese people can't even do that well on level 4... which doesn't make sense, but oh well. It's not what we actually took now, but I think that it's kinda similar. LOL I know. There's both a Seattle's Best Coffee and a McDonald's on campus. It's ever so nice. I haven't actually eaten at the McDonald's yet, but I want to soon, so I can have a shrimp burger or green tea milkshake or something. XD HEY Gilgamesh is not slow reading! I friggggggin' love it. I guess it might depend on which version you're reading... but the one I read was pretty much amazing. Ahaha. a;irha;liwrj;liawn;ailjfa;wigbh;awij |
| 2nd September 2008 Banana Boat | I'm banana boat! - From: Action-filled Day Well this sounds like an oh so fun day! That placement test sounds a lot like our National French Test, which is le suck. It's super hard and everyone does well on it but me. XD Haha. And a lot of the sections you talked about reminded me of it. Seattle's Best Coffee? That's English! Wtf? Mreow. OH HEY Mr. Cowger said in class today that he read Gilgamesh over the weekend! And he said it was verryyy slow reading. It cracked me up. XD Glad you had fun! sldjfslkdfnldskf |
| 2nd September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Hot, hot, hot The ball went up my butt. The ball went up my butt twice. LOL Yes, the banking thing was rather dumb, but at least it's over now. And hey, you try navigating in a town you've barely even been in where everything is in Japanese and anybody you could ask only knows Japanese! Ahahaha. Sure. But it wasn't our fault, it was the stupid map, really. It made it look like it was only 10 minutes or so away, but it was definitely not! Or at least, the road wasn't right. But whatever. And yes it was a ginormous peach!! It was absolutely HUGE!! All the fruit here is HUGE!! I got grapes one night, and they... were amazing. And then the peach, seriously.... it was like, as big as a grapefruit. Yummmmm. And it's not like I just randomly thought about Wall-E, they were watching it! So wah! Lol. Which did mean I got to watch a little bit of it too, ahaha. Geez, way to leave a totally random comment! |
| 2nd September 2008 Basil in Japan | - From: Hot, hot, hot Ahaha, ok. Next time I pass by the Love House, I will make sure to spend the night. It will be most excellent. XD Yeah, I hope it doesn't take too long! But then again, the times that I've been waking up in the morning, it won't be hard to wake up earlier if it takes a little while. Lol. Though, I guess I don't know *when* my Japanese class will be. It could be anytime between 9 and 12, I believe. And yes, walking is quite good for me, Quark Quark Quark Quark the white, white dragon. That made me chuckle. |
| 1st September 2008 CJ | What a man what a man what a man what a mighty fine man! - From: Hot, hot, hot Well this sounds exciting! The banking thing sounds lame. I hate it when it has to be perfect. DUUUUMB. They just need to relax. And why do you fail at directions? Fail fail fail. Haha. I also fail at directions. Maybe you should find the post office you dumb. Bahaha. You got a giNORMOUS peach? What the heck is that? Haha. I can't believe you're thinking about Wall-E whilst in Japan. That just cracks me up. This was a really random comment but whatevvv. It's mildly early in the morning I s'pose. |
