Of course not... - From: Copacabana again....oh this one is in a different country!
...you know I like to layer up! Seriously, it was cold when we first arrived but by the end of the day I was tempted to be in bra and pants it was so hot, especially at the top opf the hill where the sacred rock and ruins lived. It was quite a good day but the floating islands were quite disappointing, they looked too artifical, and the "residents" genuine clothing looked brand new! It even had tags on it ,)

I did try and a put my jumper on it but was told they have higher temperature thresholds to account for the lack of hair! The dog is WELL ugly I think, I am so glad the badgers are hairy and have smelly ears :)

to try and avoid getting sand in my hair I had a bandana on!! It actually worked...but I should have also gone for some catchers as yes.....sand was pretty much everywhere else by the time we had finished hurling ourselves downhill. The buggy ride itself was also an adventure :)

Jean, what the f*ck is up with the hound? that is not right, surely? Can't deny I was moved to respond to this entry before I saw the picture of the dog that looks like it is made of shoes - please tell me you gave that man all of your money in exchange for his jumper - it's got Jimmy Crankey's Christmas present written all over it

Paddington is a shirker... - From: The railway road less travelled or
... to be honest i lost him for a few hours as i wandered around because he wanted to hand out in the dust with the llamma. It has taken me 3 washes to get his coat clean!!! Anyhow, no Southern Comfort at the named hostel but we did drink Brahma (our fav lager of the trip so far) and spent a few hours playing and teaching card games! :)

Rarely have I been jealous in my entire life. Certainly I have not been jealous of a travel story and there I am reading this and feel incredibly jealous of your adventure. It looks and sounds wonderful, I wish I was there. I never made it to MP and now I wish I had made sure I visited. Maybe it is the alcohol I have drunk tonight but it looks brilliant!!! Look forward to seeing you when you return, can't wait.

The hunt for Paddington´s family continues - From: More from the salt tour
Dearest rat fans, I did it, I made it, I actually went to Machu Picchu and it really was very brilliant. We didn´t do the Inca trek (far too old for all that camping nonsense) however we did not get the train and went a back door route that allowed us to see Machu Picchu from the ground as we walked around the base of the mountain. We then got the bus up the final section and the view was breathtaking. I have taken lots of pictures, and Paddington nearly got eaten by a llamma! Since then Brim and I threw ourselves down some sand dunes for fun and nw we are headed nothwards to try some surfing in the Pacific!!! More soon, take care all, Sxx

Whoa, the pictures are amazing!! Looks absolutely breathtaking over there...and the arty shorts are very cool. Did you teach Jan any English games? Is you favourite still hide the sausage? Tevez has gone to City and has blabbed that Fergie barely spoke to him in his time at the club and never sent him text messages. GIRL. We may see Michael Owen appear in the Asia tour match this Saturday on MUTV, will keep you posted. Looking forward to seeing the menagerie and willtake some pictures....then on Sunday night I am off to watch Harry Potter 6!!!!

Sports Update - From: The train to the cloudless skies, Salta
I am writing this as I am listening to the Ashes on the radio (courtesy of not having SKY and actually not even having a TV). England is doing better than expected in the last hours and Pete is literally hopping up and down the kitchen in excitement. You finally made it to Lake Titikaka, my childhood dream, one day I'll get there too! Missing you lots and will follow up with a proper email soon! Lots of love, take care. C.

The rash has gone but altitude sickness has arrived! - From: Yet another UNESCO World Heritage site!
Ola, thanks for the Murray update but what is the news regarding Mr Jackson! We made it on the train to the clouds, although there were not many clouds as the weather was so good. The views were stunning and have been followed by spectacular scenes in the Bolivian desert. Unfortunately despite my worrying about me getting afflicted it is Brim who is suffering from altitude sickness so we are off to La Paz tonight and then thinking about what we can do. It may be the dynamic chica duo has to part company for a bit whilst Brim heads to sea level and I look at a lake! We hope not but we will see. Hope to update you all soon as I have to tell you about wine tasting in Mendosa, the train to 4500 meters, Salta beer and the salt plains where the hostels are made of salt bricks but lack heating and hot water, and how the Bolivian women really wear bowler hats! :) it is certainly not boring here. take care all, I am off to catch a bus on the gravel roads....bumpy ride ahead woo hoo!

Has Brimelow's rash cleared up yet? - From: Yet another UNESCO World Heritage site!
So....Andy Murray has safely got through round 1 of Wimbledon. He's currently a true Brit..once knocked out I'm sure he'll return to being a 'Dour Scot'...you gotta love our media ;-) I am a little concerned as noone has clarified where the poor Wombles go whilst all the hoo-ha of the annual strawberry fair os over..poor little lambs. The puppies eyes are now open, and they are starting to stand..one of them eats a lot so mum has started calling him Conrad! Life back at Waitrose is surreal...croissant displays and bamboo signs just don't have the same sense of importance to me as homeless people or sick animals...still, c'est la vie Have you been up into the clouds on a train yet? xx

1. A Pisco lemon is a strong alcoholic drink drunk in Chile and I also understand Bolivia, 2. Not snogged anyone else, been taking it easy on the locals, 3. Yes their are toilets on the buses but they are pretty grim so we tend to wait till they stop...but the toilets at services are not much better! :)

Hello pointy Whale! I have 2 questions for you: 1) Have you snogged anyone from another country yet...any Uruguayans or Chileans? 2) With all these bus journeys...are there toilets on board or do they make regular stops...could be awkward otherwise! ;-)

I think we are in a country called Argentina - From: The edge of the world and the southernmost city
Ola Senorita, Thanks for the pins and for keeping your fingers crossed for the football the least said the better :). Currently in El Calafate but moving north today to Puerto Madryn. There are alot of Argentinan flags, pictures of Diego Maradonna and Eva Peron, for breakfast it is usually just bread and Dolce Leche, and everyone drives on the wrong side of the road...there are also alot of stray dogs here so we think we are still in Argentina but may in fact be heading to Wales as there is a Welsh village near Madryn! More updates soon. take care, Sxx

quick note to ask who it was that requested an in depth description of every bus journey you take...I blame Comper! I for one would now like to vote for hearing more about the type of food you're eating...the dried bread and peaches combo literally made me salivate so I've been thorugh all your cupbpoards looking for sweets.. none found :-( so I had to eat a caramel egg and a Lindor chocolate. Hello Jeans...thanks for the great updates on the blog, great to hear how you're getting on and the waterfalls look absolutely amazing :-) I have a little bit of bad news from Blighty...Andrew McKay has become the latest victim of the MP expenses scandal and has resigned from his position as Cameron's buddy...not all is lost, as for the time being he will continue as MP for Brackers...judging by the letters page in the Standard however, his days may well be numbered. Suffice to say, Fairy is wearing a black armband... Have either of you got sunburnt yet?? Snogged any boys or girls? Eaten anything exotic? Come on...dish the dirt..I know what Brim is like ;-) xxx

Sounds amazing Jean and very well done on collecting the tours first high five. Pictures are ace too, keep 'em coming. Did you see Barry at the hotel? Did any of the fine specimens on the beach have arms as good as you know who? :) Spoke to Gumies canine (yes, both of em!!), the usual too much information about discharge but they were on fine form and mum has been checking out your blog. Bejam and I both had the day off work today, it was lovely and sunny - I managed a short ride on my Chopper and went out for a run this afternoon, no less than 4 times today I was told off by the manager for "f*cking about". Hello ladeez! Very lovely blog update Whale face and smashing pictures, it looks lovely. Had a lovely weekend myself..Sarah's hen party was wicked and Bath is lovely. Got home in time to watch United v City yesterday, which was sooper...City were really quite poor, and Vidic kept them out mostly by giving them a fierce glare so they backed off...we won it 2-0, at walking pace almost (although VDS did make one great save). Ronnie got the first with...you guessed it..a freekick, then Tevez got the 2nd. 4 points required from 3 games: Wigan (A), Aresenal (H) and Hull (A).
