All of these three are going to be i NZ the same time i am so we all swapped details with the strong possability of meeting up agai there. The boys wearing my shirts!
Night out in Brisbane.
Brisbane.

13/11/07 So i woke up at 5.30am and headed to the underground train station with a suprising spring in my step for such an early rise. I got to the bus station and was on the road by 7am heading to Coffs Harbour which only took around 4 hours. The coach wasnt busy but i got talking to a bloke called Derek from Birmingham. His plans were very similar to mine so we swapped details and we will probably meet up in New Zealand. It was really refreshing talking to him as he had been in Asia for 9 months and [View Full Entry]

The Big Banana!!
Danny and I just before getting on the tabogon slide.

1/11/07 It was an early rise at 6.30am and Kath and Warren drove me to the airport. Considering the last flight and check in I had was a nightmare, this one was the completely opposite. There was no queue at all and the lady at the check in just asked how my morning had been and wished me a good day...thats it! Kath and Warren walked through customs with me and since we had 30mins to kill we had breakfast. It felt like we were the only ones in the airport. If you have seen them Carlsberg adverts it would have [View Full Entry]

Sun set.
The view of the bay from the cliff face.
Walking along the beach front.

21/10/07...more importantly my birthday! Kellie being the lovely ladie that she is drove me to the airport early in the morning. I said goodbye to Kellie and joined the stupidly long queue at 7.15am. Halfway down the queue i realised that they have a computer system where you get your flight ticket from before queueing up to check in your luggage...the queue i had been in for 20mins already. I had no choice but to leave the queue, get my ticket and start from the end again. I wasnt the only one though that was confused by the system as there [View Full Entry]

The first fish of the day...you have to look hard to see it!
I want one of these to! A big old boys toy!ha

13/10/07 I said my sad goodbyes to Lee and Chloe and was at the bus station by 9.30am. There was only one other backpacker on the bus and her name was Georgie from Bristol. It turned out really well as even though it was designated seating she ended up in the seat in front and i do like to talk! At our rest stop there was a pond which had two fish that i can only describe as carps on steroids. They were huge! About 1.5m in length. We asked around and eventually found out they were Dragon Fish costing around [View Full Entry]

Big old Polar Bear!
A little cutie!
Here kitty kitty!!

5/10/07 Chloe, Lee and myself were on the ferry at 7.45am to take us to the main land. We were on a mini bus by 10am and on our way to Taman Negara. As usual in any journey we had a stop off but this time it was to change mini bus and to have some lunch. We were in a little Chinese restaurant when i looked up and there was our 65 year old guide from the Cameron Highlands! What a coincendence! We talked to him briefly before we had to go. We shared our new bus with two blokes [View Full Entry]

Heading to the jungle for a treck.

27/09/07 The alarm went off at 5.30am and I finished packing using the smallest torch known to man. I walked along the beach to meet the others making the first footprints in the sand to find out that the long boat was leaving from my side of the beach. We all walked back and even though watching Chloe struggling with her car size backpack was funny I ended up carrying it for her. It must weigh about 20-25kgs! It was a sad occasion in a way since this was our last beach in Thailand. The sun rose over the cliffs to [View Full Entry]

The conversation was a bit one sided!
Stop smiling Matt!!
Lee...i dont think i have to explain!ha

21/09/07 Four of us gathered by the pool in the morning with one exception. Matt was in bed and did not turn up till an impressive 1pm. We basically played and relaxed by the pool side all day today entertaining the staff at the hotel with our childish ways. Also they had nothing else to do being that once again we were the only ones there anyway. After a very lazy day it only felt right to follow it up by having a lazy night. We found a bar that showed films and watched a film called Perfect Stranger. It was [View Full Entry]

Matt after getting over his fear of the sea!

12/09/07 All feeling fresh we headed down to the beach in the morning ready to celebrate Chloes birthday in style and how to responsable adults do this...playing frisbe and building sand castles! The lads picked up the boys toys consisting of batts and ball and struted into the sea with oe purpose... to beat Matts and my record of 214. We failed big time and when it came apparent we were not even getting close we swapped to playing frisbe. In the mean time the girls were building a sand castle, but a sand castle that would turn out to stand [View Full Entry]

Taking a break from our busy lives!ha
Chloes birthday dinner.
Ahhhhh!!

1/09/07 So the alarm went off at 5.45am, packed my things and said goodbye to Andy. I was outside my guest house by 6.15am so I had 15mins to get to Matt and Amy for where we were getting the taxi to the airport. I knew roughly where they were but being very early and feeling a bit to relaxed I got a motorbike taxi since I didnt feel like rushing. The first place we stopped at was closed and had been for ages but shared the same name as Matt and Amys guest house. Some local lads came over and [View Full Entry]
