| 19th June 2009 Bert Roughton | Your trip - From: wedding and a funeral I think I hate you. |
| 18th June 2009 Amy Pataki | Breathtaking - From: Top o the mornin' If you're not already huffing and puffing from the climb to the top, these views will take your breath away. I lift a pint to your accomplishments, and wish you great joy with the potatoes. |
| 14th June 2009 Noonbird | Guinness rules! - From: Wearin' of the grin Sounds like you're off to a grand start sis...have a blast, oh yeah and at least a couple pints with whiskey chasers for me! love Noonbird |
| 14th June 2009 Barnweasel | thanks Chey - From: Wearin' of the grin Good to hear from you girl - you'd love it here - but I think my liver is going to take some serious knocks! xoxo |
| 13th June 2009 Chey | B'gosh! - From: Wearin' of the grin and also, of course, begorrah! Thank you so much for taking a moment and blogging from 'neath the chinoiserie of Dublin. I love these tech times. And the snaps make it that much more vivid. Breathlessly awaiting the next entry. Oh, and yes, I am GREEN with envy. xox |
| 1st June 2009 Irvin Wolkoff | Don't miss the uiscebagh - From: Off to Ireland Ireland seems tailor-made for you with its physical beauty, lyrical and literary culture and a penchant for creative excess. Try to get to at least one good distillery while you're there for a leck un' a schmeck. (The Middleton is in Dublin, and my name's in a book for buying one of their delicious bottlings.) Bon Voyage. Wash the fruit, don't use ice cubes, and don't kiss a Mexican pig. |
| 4th December 2007 David | lost and found - From: Sip, cycle, repeat Hey L.B.: Blogs stopped coming directly to my e-mail for some reason but I went back and caught up on all your wine-tasting trips and animal-specific photos, so I don't have any reason to feel sheepish. (ahem. sorry.) Looks great though! Keep having fun (he added redundantly). |
| 28th November 2007 Trudy Eagan | Wow!! - From: The Santa Scandal! You are having way too much fun my friend. What a fabulous way to celebrate the big 5-0!! Hugs. |
| 24th November 2007 Barnweasel | Raro pups - From: the legend of the Raro dogs Posted another pooch for you, Deb. Sadly can't substantiate the rumour of the doggies, which are called Raro Specials by the locals. So I'm saying it's true, like a real reporter would! xo L.B. |
| 23rd November 2007 Kim | seefood - From: Local reporter makes news Oh, you are driving me crazy with that picture of your lunch. Are you sure you can't bring back one little prawn for me? Kim |
| 23rd November 2007 Debra | Nice pictures! - From: the legend of the Raro dogs That sunset photo is to die for and, of course, I love anything with dogs in it, even little half-corgi bastards. |
| 20th November 2007 Debra | Have poncho, will travel - From: Round and round she goes Hi LB, sure sounds like you're getting around. I am, of course, envious of your fabulous adventure. I know you'll continue to have a great time, so I won't bother telling you to. |
| 18th November 2007 Ian | Cool! - From: Blue lagoon Hey Linda - sounds like a journey of a different kind. Just back from Italy - and have the flu....you sound like you're having a great adventure. |
| 18th November 2007 Paul Cantin | blue lagoon - From: Blue lagoon You must have accidentally deleted the part where you are met by a man-child in a loin cloth. Keep up the great work. Don't get so you don't want to come back! You're missing a hell of an early winter season in Toronto. pc |
| 18th November 2007 Maryanna Lewyckyj | RE: Escaping the rat race - From: Feels like home It's so uplifting to read your journal entries and soak up the warmth of the country and the people. I'm sure you're working your butt off to help these people, but it must be very rewarding to know your sacrifice is sorely needed and much appreciated. The children are thrilled to get a library, something we simply take for granted in Canada. |
| 18th November 2007 Maryanna Lewyckyj | RE: Travel woes - From: Rarotonga at last! Linda, sorry I'm late with my commentary. I suffered a torn meniscus (a.k.a. knee injury) last week and I was on crutches for four days. At least you didn't get Tasered at the airport upon arrival. |
| 17th November 2007 Kim | coconut bra - From: Another day in paradise Okay, where are the hairy cups? I hear they come in half sizes. r-r-r-r. Looks absolutely stunning there. Hope you win the canoe race. |

| 14th November 2007 Debra | - From: But she said there'd be photos! You'll have to tell us what kind of snacks Rarotongans eat at movies. Sounds pretty interesting so far. Hope you're taking lots of pics, even if you can't post them. |
| 13th November 2007 Noon | wow - From: countdown looks gorgeous.........live it up! |
| 13th November 2007 blaise | Journey - From: Rarotonga at last! Whoever said "life is a journey" has never flown coach. They serve gin in plastic glasses, you sleep closer to a stranger than you do normally with a red hot lover, they feed you dog food in punnets, you ask for another gin and they give you that expensive look, and in the morning they ask if you slept well. When Robert Frost wrote "I shall be telling this with a sigh, I took the one less traveled by" he was referring to cattle class on UA, and all the rest. Fifty is no time to see the world. Grandchildren and rehab are the norm. Go forth Boop, and conquer! |
| 13th November 2007 Debra | - From: Rarotonga at last! I can't see the pics, but I bet they're purty. Forty hours of travel beats my record. Phew! |
