The school I want to attend is AI: Illinios Institute of Art at Chicago The student activites/clubs that I am interested in attending are the film club, animation club, and culture fest. I would like to join these because they are alongside what I am interested in. I am familiar with video programs but not too indepth in them. I think that if I participate in this club I can be able to make projects of my own and be able to show different types of art using video. As for animation it can some how correlate to film. For instance, I can make a film about a cartoon and add in all the knowledge I would get from the film club and make something better. As for the club fests, I would like to be ... read more

For my break I had went to Rome. I had never went out of the country at least that far from home. During my time there, I had seen many arts from many different reinissuance artist. It was one thing looking at their arts in picture format than actually going to see their arts in Rome. I had taken many pictures of their arts as well as many thigs that caught my attention, while in Italy. I was disappointed when I only saw several of my classmates actually taking pictures of Rome. That meaning, not just taking pictures of the art many people are familiar with but actually taking pictures of Rome. The culture of Rome.the way tables are set up or the many markets in the middle of the street. At least that's how I ... read more

SHOUT OUTS I would like to give a shout out to Latifat and Nikki. Latifat is always, or seems like she's always, in a good mood. I feel like everyone should be like her instead of just being always in a bad mood to at least try to be optimistic even if there are troubles. Also Nikki, she has struggled in our Math college class and was at a point where she just wanted to give up in the first semester but this semester she is different. She studies hard and seems like the only person that gets the problem, in fact right now she's the one that's helping most of the students in the math course.... read more

City's Speed-camera plan to start slowly, aldermen still wary 1. Summarize your article The City concil is contemplating wether there should be speed cameras during school hours to monitor the speed of cars in intersections of schools. There will be no more than 360 camera locations for this program. Many aldermen are getting complaints that it is a "money grab" since if you are caught speeding between 6 and 10 miles an hour near school there would be a fine of $50 and if it is not paid on time there will be an additional $50. So far they are going to have test cameras to see if its nessasary to place cameras near the schools when they have enough data the cconcil will come into a decision. 2. How does your current event relate to ... read more

Banned Books What are some of the reasons that books are banned in high schools? Sex profanity and racism that make schools ban books from school library's. Do you agree with any of these reasons? Explain. No because it is hiding the truth from many of us also it goes against our rights. The first amendment ensures that none of us has the right to control or limit another persons ability to read or access information. Parents do have the ability to say what's not right for their children but their children only not to everyone else because in the end they are just opinions of others and shouldn't be focused on so much. People should be focused on how students can learn from these books and connect it to real life events and can look ... read more
