This organization currently works wherever justice, truth, and dignity are denied to people. In 1961 the first steps of this organization were taken when British lawyer Peter Benenson decided to stand up for two individuals who were jailed for raising their glasses in a toast to freedom. Since then the organization has grown to have 3million supporters, activists, and volunteers in over 150 countries worldwide. I may have not gone to Rome or China like most of my friends but my spring break was one to remember. In order for my spring break to be fun I had to do my homework over the weekend which wasn't so fun but I managed to get it all done before spring break started. During my break I visited my number one college which is Columbia College Chicago. While at Columbia I met future classmates and instructors and I also had the opportunity to learn more about the college. "This I Believe" Throughout my life I have faced many struggles when it comes to school work. When I was younger I had difficulties reading and comprehending different texts. This was a big problem for me because I wasn’t reading at the level I was supposed to and I was falling behind. As a child I also had difficulties with the basic math operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The people are being forced to work as prostitutes, house keepers, and work in jobs they do not want to do instead of plantations.
