Hello friends. When last we spoke, I was in the lovely town of Salzburg. Funny place, if you were a local you would go crazy, you can't go 10 minutes without some puffed up tourist breaking into song. Some better than others. Took a couple days off, so to speak. Enjoyed a nice dinner and glass of wine by myself. I think the waiting staff was confused, or thought I had been stood up, because it took them an hour and a half to ask for my order. hello all, just arrived in salzburg, think it has something to do with julie andrews because i keep seeing expensive sound of music tour offers. To get me in the mood i listened to do re mi on the train on repeat. Thought it was time I gave a simple lesson to all those US bound. How to speak german: 1. Add -en to the end of every word. It's been a while, folks. Much has happened. I am sad to say that Laura has returned to her country, and I remain in England, applying to med school and watching the rain drip down the office windows. Hello everyone! This is going to be a quick update because we don´t have much internet time here at our awesome hostel in prague ( its an elementary school converted into a hostel, "don't forget to clean up your beer kids") We'll fill in the rest later, sorry! we've been on alot of ferrys trains trams cars buses and everything inbetween lately. santorini paros and antiparos were amazing! Γεια σας, φιλος! (that says hello friends) The thing is that greek has a different alphabet. It took me a few days to be able to (kind of ) sound out words from the ridiculous letters. By then you have forgotten it is also a different language and you are confused as to why the word you have successfully deciphered means nothing to you. Ciao everyone! Yesterday we arrived in Florence, the city of renaissance. Checked into the appropriately named emerald palace. Watched the end of the sunset from across the river over the city, verrry nice. Under a good friends specific instructions, we searched the city for the gato e la volpe, apparently the best italian restaurant in the city, and enjoyed tortellini, ravioli, and a bottle of chianti.
