We'd been meaning to do this for a while and as we both had some free time we finally did it. We took the ferry from Plymouth to Roscoff. It was great trip over and very exciting. We shared the driving and driving on the right side of the road takes some getting used to but it doesn't take long and y http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/blog-241448.html Ireland Hi EveryoneWell I hope that everyone is well. Things are going well over here. Mum and Trevor left last Sunday after spending three months over here. It was so nice having them here and being able to see them whenever I wanted to. I really miss having family and friends I can see regularly. It's the price I pay for being so far away from home. On their second week here Allen and I met them http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Ireland/blog-224452.html Cornwall to Newark Hi EveryoneWhile I have some time I thought I'd make this blog as up to date as possible. From Cornwall I went to Bristol to Wales then to Bath then back to Bristol and to Newark Nottinghamshire. That's where I am at the moment. My time in Cornwall was great except for some eccentrics in the hostel in Penzance it was great. I'm in Colchester at the moment and have been for about a week. I came back to see Trevor's family here Pat John Kevin and Mary. It's been nice to be back in a homey environment after spending over a month in hostels. They're great but it's good to take a break from them. Thank you all for looking after me during my time here. The highlight had to be p http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Essex/Colchester/blog-92553.html Temples and Tombs of Luxor Hi EveryoneI've decided to do a few entries on Egypt and one just wouldn't do our trip justice. We took the night train from Egypt to Luxor. I really enjoyed getting the train and the trip included a meal and we slept most of the way. It was nice and cool after the heat of Cairo. We arrived early in the morning and thanks to the Lonely Planet of the Middle East we took their advice and st http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Egypt/Upper-Egypt/Luxor/blog-194188.html Cairo Hi EveryoneWell it's been a while since I last added and entry and I definitely have good reason to now. Allen and I decided at the last minute to go to Egypt for 10 days and we got a really good deal including flights and accommodation so we were happy. The catch of course being that it's Summer and by 1200 noon it's 46 degrees celsius. But with a pool at the hotel and airconditioning we http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Egypt/Lower-Egypt/Giza/blog-191572.html Trip to Ireland Hi Everyone I hope you are all well. I'm going to write today about our last trip to Ireland. We went for four days and had a great time. We went by ferry again and I enjoy the trip on the boat as much as getting there. It's so much fun and getting your own cabin with a shower and 3 course meal just can't be beaten. Flying is quicker true but the boat trip is so much more fun and less polluti http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Ireland/blog-151529.html Back Home Hi Everyone Well I've been back in Plymouth now for about a week. It's so nice to be home and to have time to relax before I get back into work again. It's nice not getting the underground as well and really nice to be back in Devon and being able to go to Cornwall and Dartmoor whenever I want to. We've been to Cornwall a couple of times since I've been back and went to Dartmoor National Park http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Devon/Plymouth/blog-146688.html Working in London Hi EveryoneI hope everyone is well. So sorry yet again for not updating this site more frequently than I have been. Life here is pretty good. I got a temporary job in London from mid January to the end of March. I'm working for a charity organisation called The Children's Society as a Personal Advisor. It's kind of like an advocate for people with disabilities and it's a pretty nice job. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/blog-136789.html Northern Ireland and Plymouth Hi EveryoneI wanted to put in some pictures of Allen's and my visit to Ballykelly in Northern Ireland to visit his family and to see some of Ireland as well. We took the car and went over on the ferry which was really nice. We drove all night to Liverpool and got the day ferryover which takes around 8 hours. While I was in Reading I checked out an Abbey which was really nice. Not so nice that the last Abbot his friend apparently and 3 monks were hanged drawn and quartered by King Henry XIII for 'treason.' Coincidentally just after this the abbey became a royal palace. My flight was good on the way over. Luckily the seat next to me was free so I was able to have a lie down and get a few hours sleep. I made my way to Hornchurch with my great aunt and uncle about an hour from London. Getting the tube was interesting.
