So a whole night in kuala lumpur airport, with its new bazillion dollar terminal that would hav been great but ofcourse travelling as a er traveller you fly airasia which has its own terminal resembling a huge empty warehouse with a couple plastic seats. great. flying in all you see is a house every now and then dotted between thousands of plantation palm trees, even continuing on the incredibly long bus from the airport to the main station they keep goig until bam apartment blocks and sky scrapers hit you like a brick wall. arriving in the city was strange its [View Full Entry]

strangely cool border city too hk, although city itself is a little grubby and apparently theyve had some problems withhe triads (awesome some people to drink with!) the suburbs are nice + im staying in a hostel right in the middle of the trendy upmarket art scene. After a decent flight and by far the best service and plane food iv ever had, thanks air china, got to shenzhen slightly disheatend that i would be stuck in this place which all the book has to say is that it borders hk and is where the entire worlds ipods/mac books are made. This was one crazy hard climb, 10hours over 2 days and 40km almost straight up with a stay in a monastery in between. the wierdest place i have been, the city is like th twilight zone even the panda research base supposedly at the pinicle of animal breeding by getting animals too lazy to do it to have babys but the place looked like jurassic park after it had been abandoned and left for the dinosaors, still it was better than the animals being locked up like they were in beijing.
