SAD - From: Going Nowhere Anytime Soon...
I agree, Hapaii is a fantastic island, I was there in 1991 and 1993. I think itīs sad though, that they now have a guesthouse on Uoleva, when I was there-we slept under the stars on the beach and the only living thing on the island, except for us where some pigs and wild horses....It starts with a small charming place and ends with a resort, then another one... But it was interesting reading, brings back memories :) / Keep on travelling:) Robert from Stockholm Sweden;)

Happy Ha'apai - From: Going Nowhere Anytime Soon...
Can relate to your blog: Ha'apai is something out of this world. I was there in 2006 and put up a webpage at http://www.nelligennet.com/horst.html to help an Austrian retired on Lifuka to get some contacts with the outside world. I'll be back!

You got it... - From: Night Watches: Of Loving and Loathing
Hi Ashley, Boy, you took the words right out of my mouth! I always marvel how someone can take an experience I have had and put into words that are so descriptive, visual and compelling. Your blog took me back to my 2-4AM shift I enjoyed for 3.5 months! Thank you. By the way, can't wait to finally meet you. Bard

thanks for keeping in touch - From: Ashley's Going Away 'Again'
I know you make your folks soooooooooo proud! To read your blog is better than a James Patterson novel, whom I and many others love. But yours is so much more worldly and fun! You must consider being an author when you get all these travels "under your belt"...if that will ever happen. You are truly your father's daughter! Know we will be thinking of you and your family often from our little Iroquois County...and praying for a safe voyage. So looking forward to your each and every blog entry. God Speed...Be Safe...Have fun...And hug your mom for me!!! glynis

I think you handled the customs check very well. No backing down to the "chinks". I'm not sure I would have handled it as well as you did. We had a great Thanksgiving with Helen in NYC. Wish you had been there. However, sounds like you are having a great time. Love, Ed

Re: Nowhere anytime ....... Wish we were with you now. Tonga sounds so interesting and beautiful Your Dad was there and partied with the King and the rest of the royal family during his circumnavigation. Tonga was celebrating becoming part of the British Commonwealth, and all of the islands were present in native costume for many days. Enjoy. Drink plenty of water.
