Sweet Hannah!
That's one sweet girl. Of course, it is not that easy for them to understand that. And yes. Sad. But I still love my sushi and sashimi :(

Stunning
Your photos caught my eye, so I just had to read. What a lovely story and I agree that weddings are addictive. My husband and I had a civil wedding ceremony, then a Catholic ceremony 10 months later and just had Chinese wedding photos done since we have lived in China for the last 2.5 years and I see us renewing our vows every 10 to 15 years as I fall in love with him over and over again each day. Your children are beautiful.

For some reason I didn't read this one when it was published.
I went into my favorites today to see what you had been up to and was happy to find this blog. This candle festival sounds intriguing. We may have to attend that some day. The kids looks like they are enjoying themselves. Happy Travels.

Too happy to hear from Osaka again!
Glad to know you and your family are back to "normal mode". Traditions are important and children ought to learn them while still young. That's how we pass them from one generation to the next. Hello to your family!

Phew!
Although I don't personally know anyone from Japan, I was wondering if any of this TB community had been caught up in that horrific tragedy. I'm glad to see you and your family are safe and sound. Thanks for the blog, Boracay is stunning.

good to hear from you again
Hi aries. Good to hear from you again, and to know you are safe and enjoying the sun and sands of Boracay. Even for at least 2 days. What happened to your adopted country is truly sad. And I only have this great respect and admiration for the Japanese. Their strength of character, discipline amidst adversity is one for the books.

Living in Osaka
Dear Aries and Rinka, My name is Brian Doyle and I am a study abroad student from Minnesota, USA. I came across your blog and noticed the wonderful pictures of Kyoto. For the past 3 months I have been residing in Osaka, Japan. I visited Kyoto once before but was unable to see the golden temple or other temples around that area due to time constraints. I really want to go back when the cherry blossoms are blooming, but I would really like to know if you have and tips or ideas of where the best places are to visit? Thank you for your help and consideration. Cordially, The International
