It was 39 celcius at 10.55am today........ OMG!!!!! I looked around at people, wonder how they are surviving. The only thing I do mind is the heat. There was no breeze, just hotter and hotter. I surrender!!!! Everyone here is football craze at the moment. Watching the matches on TV. Didn't think Australian would even go to the second round, but they did!!! Way to go Aussies. Watching a program on TV, a talk show - four girls talking to each other. All they talk about is who is the good looking one in which team rather than who is the best goal kicker... LOL!!! Yes... I am interested in what they have to say :-P Went to few places, as usual do the traditional things. Went to see my grandmother and uncle and aunty, cousins. ... read more

Here I am again. In 2006... Well, what a day to spend my birthday... on the plane for over 12 hours. Flight from Christchurch - Auckland - Bangkok. Yes I have heard that Thai Airways has new airplanes from AUK - BKK. I thought... yeah yeah... But wow. I was impressed. Especially with the entertainment they offer. Bring it on 12 hours flight... it's not even enough I say! (Luckily I havn't seen any movies as of late) But imagine if you gotta sit next to an over ordinary large person. .................. Anyways, don't wanna! Next to me was an empty seat! YAY!!!! So I got to strech out as much as I want. I saw this person a row in front of me to my right hand gave me the envious look!! Teee heeeeee.... Though ... read more

((Finally I get to final this thing!!!)) The last few days I spent in Italy was going up and down from Firenze and Roma catching up with few friends before I had to leave Italy. The time I spent there, five weeks, was just amazing!!! I sure will miss Italy. Obviously not everything is all good and perfect, but all in all, that just makes it so charming. Italy sure will be right on top of my loved country. Definitely have to go back there again... and again... and again...... read more

So, I have been to Catania and back with no part missing. I have to say that Catania is probably one of the craziest place I have been in Italy. It is so lively and chaotic. But charming in its own way. Most memorable thing here would be the mosquito bites. I got loads of them all over my arms and legs. I was practically covered with the repellent from head to toes. But seem they were just immuned to it. By the day I left (stayed here for 4nights) I looked like I have chicken pox all over again.... (It was that bad.) Someone said that I must have got sweet blood. I don't know, if I ever find out I will let you know.... The whole town is full of Lava Stones. From pavement ... read more

I was supposed to go down to Pompei yesterday but realised that I have no memory left on my camera. So I spent the day uploading pictures and send them all away. Took a train down to Naples and changed to local train to Pompei. Naples local train was just so crazy. It was noisy and full of people. Everyone was having their own discussion about something. Half way to Pompei, this girl came on board with an old man and sat down beside me. From the moment she stepped on the train, she was yelling. Sounded like she was having an arguement. Few minutes later, people behind me joined in her discussion gave their opinions. Then the whole train joined in. My lovely experience of Napoli people. Then there I was Pompei. People everywhere... tourists ... read more

Kelli and Nathan decided to stay for another night before heading down south to visit Nathan's relatives. So we headed to visit the Catacombe. It is an underground maze burial. It was just amazing down there. It is huge and big. We got there just before it closed for lunch but didn't buy the ticket in time. Which worked out well, because we brought the picnic so instead of carrying it around we can just easily carrying it around in our tummies. It was such a nice day and we didn't mind waiting for two hours at all. Afterwards we felt like a Gelato, so I found a place where they sell bad Gelato. Well, I did not know this beforehand. So, yes, there is such thing as a bad Gelato in Rome!!!!! Those places should ... read more

So, I am now back in Italy again. The train ride from Genéve to Roma was delay but it is normal here. It is great to be back in Rome again. But somehow sitting on the train all day doing nothing makes you even more tired than doing something all day. The next day had a bad headache but survived. Walked around in the morning without the map and I got to everywhere and back without getting lost once. Quite proud of myself :) Visited the Vatican City the day after. It was good. The guards in front of the gate at St. Peter's are Swiss as I was told. The uniform is quite colourful. Wonder how they got a job there. Climbed up all the way to the top of the dome. The view of ... read more
