Hello again guys. Sorry for the lack of updates! We left you in Newcastle which seems ages ago. From there we stopped in Coffs Harbour for two days. Quaint little place which did amazing fish and chips. Took in a lovely sunset sat on Muttonbird Island - so called because it is them home to about 12,000 of the things. Next us was Byron Bay which turned out to be one of our favourite places. Really cool surf vibe and quality night life. Cheeky monkeys was one of our best nights out. The Beef, bacon and cheese pies were tops too. [View Full Entry]

Hello again boys and girls! Welcome to Australia! Its really crap out here! As if! We love the place! We arrived in Melbourne which was lovely. It was a bit cold so our illusion of Australia being sunny all the time was shattered! Ah well, armed with our jumpers we set off to explore! We booked our Greyhound Bus passes (Defo worth getting for anyone else following in our footsteps) to get us up to Cairns then went for a wander round Federation Square and checked out some possible tours we could do. The city was lovely we saw lots of [View Full Entry]

Hi everyone, Well we've done the south island now! Can't believe how fast the time has gone! So here goes with the latest news: Day one and two - Picton - We arrived on the ferry and went to our lovely hostel called the Villa. It was very quaint and it even had hairdyers and a tv in the room (luxury for us!!) however, the best bit was the gorgeous free apple crumble and ice-cream every evening yum yum :-) Just chilled in the evening in preparation for our cruise and trek trip along the Queen Charlotte Track in the Marlborough [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, Sorry it's taken us so long to add a new entry internet has been a bit of a nightmare!! Well we've done the North Island now so here's the highlights. Day One - Auckland - We werent that blown away at first. Maybe because we were too busy finding a hostel and sorting out our bus ticket. We opted to go with intercity to avoid the 18-30's style Kiwi Experience. Yes Were getting old! Definately recommend it though as it's been spot on for us. To be fair to Auckland the harbour and all its yachts is really pretty [View Full Entry]

Hi Guys!! We've just left Fiji and arrived in Auckland for our New Zealand adventure! We landed in Nadi by 5:10am and 20 minutes later we had our whole trip planned and paid for with this lovely lady called Vera at the airport. We stayed in Nadi for our first night, which isn't the nicest of places but we travelled to the Yasawa islands the day after so it was ok for the one night! The first leg of our journey took us to Nabula lodge based on Nicula Island. The ferry took 4 1/2hrs and we loved every minute, the [View Full Entry]

Better late than never! Thought we'd better let you all know we are still alive now we have arrived in Fiji and don't have to pay ridiculous amounts of money to use the internet - Maybe were just tight! Well we are both half Scottish. San Francisco was quality, the highlights being a trip to Alcatraz, cycling over the Golden Gate bridge and back and watching the Giants beat the Dodgers at baseball - i managed to burn my forehead much to Christine's delight! Vegas was all we expected and more - we didnt really go on the tables as i [View Full Entry]
