Well first 3 months are down and so much has happened. I spent the first month really taking in all the attractions....again and trying my hardest to learn the language but as soon as my social network over here developed, that all changed and i started to actually live here which was good. Instead of going to the touristy places ive been doing as the romans do...drinking those weird tiny coffees at the counter in family run coffee shops, eating in the restaraunts down the side streets that also have that family run feeling and staying well away from the touristy [View Full Entry]

The usual suspects, park lane, buckingham palace, the big wheel thing, houses of parliament, big ben etc. I would definetely reccomend walking on your first day and getting it all in. We ended the night with a pub crawl in soho which i would recommend. Go to all the bars...if thats feasible as theres so many, great buzz from the area tho. 2nd day we took advantage of the [View Full Entry]

First 2 days in Roma Europe » Italy » Lazio » Rome
Made was to my apt when i arrived, taxis are generally oly e40 from either airport and shouldnt cost more then that. My room is huge and i share the spat with 4 others, 2 italians, one lad from romanian and one from bucharest. The things that i wasnt expecting was the essential things that ye dont bring with ye. Decision time Europe » Ireland » County Dublin » Dublin
I got a phone call about a week ago from my brother Paul who was speaking to the manager of an Irish Bar in Rome and was looking for staff. I immediately started thinking about whether this was the opportunity ive been waiting on to live abroad and learn a new language. So I wracked my brains for days waying out the pros and cons and ringing all my friends for advice. Being a bad decision maker didnt help!!! I met with Declan the bar manager for Scholars pub (www.scholarsloungerome.com) in the Foggy Dew at Central Bank on Saturday and it [View Full Entry]
