The building at Storhofoi is some sort of weather station Im pretty sure. (Its the windiest spot in Europe). When we were there (last week of August) it averaged about 12-15 degree maximum, but the cold wind was brutal! Still, totally worth it! |

This could either be canola or rapeseed as they both look the same when they are grown. Canola is essentially a type of rapeseed. Rapeseed, if it is going to be used for biodiesel has usually a slightly different composition to canola as instead of having the fatty acids that make good cooking oil and margarine (C18:1) they have different fatty acids that are a longer chain (C22:1) which is better for use in combustion engines like diesel ones. There is some work being done in Australia for Biodiesel... not that we are involved in however it is still in development stages. |
