Really we are leaving on tuesday evening or wednesday morning, but Kyle came up with a great t-shirt slogan for Utila, I'm leaving tommorow..... Utila... Because not a person you talk to leaves when they think they will and many end up staying for years, kinda like Hotel California..creepy. Anyway we are headed on a sailboat o barco de verlo to _________, and we can't wait, I hear the contrast of red soil and green terria is to die for and the music and dancing is enough to do solemente. This will be my first time on a sailboat, and though I am a little nervous I have to admit, I can't believe I have the opportunity to do something like this. After spending most of our first month on the small bay island of Utila we are hoping to leave this coming friday, not this one but I hear there's another one coming around next week.. Life is slow here in the day and debaucherous in the evening. Which leaves both of us watching our pockets and looking forward to moving on. Checking the mail daily... but like most things go here I've came to find out...., it has been delayed because the airport has been closed for 3 days due to a big cocaine bust last tuesday. Evidently it involved a possible plane crash, the burning of something unidentified on the only hill in town and a spectacle at the airport that sent most of the locals out there on their scooters to observe for ... read more

Since getting our Ducks straight after arriving in Utila.... We spent a day walking around in the 'balmy' heat looking at places to rent.. The rent here ranges from $400 a month for an apartment you could find in say um Bozeman.. to lil shanty's with geicos running between you legs and wire keepin the windows shut.. Being on the budget we are we almost went for the latter.. but decided to give it some thought and took off camping to what they call 'Water Caye' for about 3 days and nights... We later saluted ourselves on a decesion well made as Water Caye was absolutly paradise, and gave us a chance to really feel as though we were in the Carribean..
