You could work there on those days that you have a little time to kill, but not enough time to travel. Like a rainy afternoon where you have an hour or two and no plans...You could feed yourself pretty well if you swapped them an hour of work for a loaf of bread and some breakfast pastries or quiche...do they do quiche there? It was among my favorite bakery items in New Zealand. Besides, think of all the cool baking skills you'd learn! You can come back and teach me any and all of that stuff! LY Kiddo!
