O_o You were sick too? Almost everyone in camp has caught a nasty bug, though by now almost everyone should be immune to it. The fun thing is that the 4 weekers are leaving Sunday, and being replaced by a bunch of 3 weekers, so we'll have new people to infect.
In other news, it was skit night tonight. Jacob Fogel one by acting as Ed, and in the end he proposed to Becca. One a related topic, Ed has told Becca that he'll ask the question sometime before the Banquet at the end of camp, and Becca was at the Jewelery store when he was talking to the Jeweler about getting a ring, though I don't think she saw what he's picked out. I think the series of events is a little different from the norm, but Becca doesn't seem to mind.
I had heard about the curing HIV by sleeping with virgins, I think from watching "ER", I really need to stop watching depressing TV shows during the year.
I hope you're better by now.
YESSSSsss zebra statue in our room?
it sounds like you are having such an AMAZING summer whilst I wilt away in my cubicle. i cannot wait to see pictures - i'm already living vicariously through you~!
That was a couple days worth of reading. At school we learned a bit about how we have to be very carefull with the internet. Many companies will search your name online when you hand in your application, and some will keep tabs on you while you work for them. On top of that, they can fire you for almost any reason. Just before I read your post, I read an article on yahoo, that said you can be fired in many states if your gay and they are offended by that, or they might try and keep insurance costs down, so they'll fire people that smoke, are overweight, or partake in something such as skydiving or bungee jumping. On top of that, information on the internet tends to linger around, so something that you write today could affect you in a couple of years. It's all a bit unnerving how while we have the first amendment to protect us, there is still so much that it just doesn't protect us from. As for you being in a different country, I have no idea what the laws are.
As it turns out, I found a Myspace page for someone with my name, and he is the same age as me. There isn't much I can do about it, other than hope it doesn't prevent me from getting a job that I want.
Lesson #1: Weet-a-bix is great with a little molassses!
Lesson #2: Always carry toilet paper in unknown countries. Even Spain doesn't have toilet paper in most public restrooms :-)
heylo As it turns out, I'm back at camp, hanging out with our camp friends. We have a rather young camp this summer, with Crow lodge consisting of all of the 14 and 15 yr olds. The new boss seems cool, but the slackers aren't making it easy for him. Volleyball, Nature, Wrestling, and Kayaking are no longer their own activities, and since I showed up a few days late, I'm living by myself in Badger, while Ed and Scott Barnes are in lodges. Overall everything feels really odd to me thing summer, but I think it's going to be a good summer. I've noticed that you're "High on Life" so things must be going good over there. Good Luck with the rest of the summer.

hey, yo! I have now officially read all your entries and would like to point out you are falling a little behind here. The rest of us not currently in South Africa would like a little excitement. :) Glad you're having a great time! love yooouuu
You and your good weather T_T It reached 100 degrees the last couple of days in the NJ / NY area, and it hasn't been very comfortable, then we had a big thunder storm, and I did not like the way the Telephone pole was moving. Supposed to have big hail too, but I didn't see any.
In other weather related news, there's been Tonardos and Flooding in Iowa, Wisconsin, and other states in the area the last couple weeks, I don't know if a lot is going on, or I just didn't see enough news the last few years while at school.
Sounds like you're having a blast! I'm so glad that you're keeping this journal...it's as though I get to talk to you every once and a while, even though you're half way across the world :)
I'm in agreement with your roommate about olives as well hahah...and I also wanted to say that it really annoys me to see the to-go containers in the trash at stonehill....very frustrating! Anyway, have a great time...what an amazing opportunity!
Hi Anne Hello Anne!
I'm reading them--a bit behind, I'm reading all your entries right now. But I'll try to keep up now--these are amazing! I'm living vicariously through you so keep up the uber-cool adventures! miss you already,
Mucho RCR love,
Melissa
Mew I guess I'm reading all of your entries, or I just finished reading all of your entries. It's good to know that you're enjoying yourself, but you're going to a "Wacky Wine Weekend"? Aren't you a bit young? What would your parents think, tsk tsk, jk.
Last night I dinner with your favorite Gavin C, along with Dan and Reese Alexander, Ben Zambito, and a former camper of mine that you don't know. I also slept over at Al Spencer's house, wow he has a nice place.
Laters,

I've been "roped" before T_T When I went to San Fran a couple months ago, I got off the train from the Airport, and my roommates and I couldn't find the Hotel. For a fee a guy revealed to us that we were right behind the hotel, about ten feet from the back door T_T
Reminds me.... That reminds me of my flight to NZ. I was amazed by everything they give you, after having only exerienced US domestic flgihts where they will exchange your left pinky for a shitty sandwich :-P
