| 14th February 2008 AnnapolisAnn | Finally touching base - From: Lynchburg, VA Where PAST Meets Present Hey!!! It's great to hear from you. How's it going? Thanks for reading my blog, I have to admit, it's tough to keep up with it since I don't relish writing. I do have a loose itinerary but it seems to change every two days or so. My dad asked that I post a tentative one, so I'll probably try to do that today. I hope everything's going well with you guys. And I'll keep your invite to HI in mind. Tough to drive to though :) |
| 14th February 2008 AnnapolisAnn | Cheesecakes etc. - From: Culture in Greensboro I had the key lime cheesecake which was very good, although I don't remember the style. What's the difference between the two styles? What I had more of though were the raisin bran muffins. They went great with coffee plus I felt less guilty since in my mind I was getting fiber along with indulging :) |
| 14th February 2008 Robert Chamberlain | . . . nut what about the cheesecakes??? - From: Culture in Greensboro Yes, yes, yes - your travels are all well and good, but what about the cheesecakes?? What kind did you try? New York- or Philly style; fruit on top or flavored throughout? Spare no details!! ; P P.S. I imagine the dogs are rather proud their species won this year at the dog show... Much love, Rob |
| 12th February 2008 Charles Hulme | Hey There - From: Lynchburg, VA Where PAST Meets Present Ann, I finally got around to catching up on your Blog. Nice going. I'm impressed at you sticking with the Blog. I would've peetered out. Looks like you're haveing a nice trip, hopefully not too cold though. I'm glad to see you've made it to A school, I was getting worried it would turn into a road trip for the dogs (which oh by the way, I finally got to see a picture off them). So what is your itenerary...or are you winging it? If it gets too cold for you, come out to Hawaii for a break ;) Charles |
| 9th February 2008 Randy Stoker | Stop looking, go to Duke! - From: My Impression of Duke Hey Ann, Just want to say hey. I stumbled upon your blog after googling myself -- how vain! (I was checking on media coverage of a case I'm working on.) I've already given you my plug for Duke. It's a serious school but students try not to take themselves too seriously. A friend of mine said that people there "work very hard while not looking like they work very hard." Safe travels. --R P.S. Still waiting on baby 2. |
| 3rd February 2008 Melinda Bihn | Great to see you - From: Greensboro, NC You were an easy guest, Ann, and didn't stay too late at all. It was great to catch up! Can't wait to hear about more of your adventures! |
| 30th January 2008 AnnapolisAnn | Visiting schools - From: Wide Open Taylorsville, NC The first school will be Duke, which is the other thing I'm supposed to be doing while I'm here at the library. Figuring out who to call, making an appointment to stop by, etc. But hopefully, I'll pay a visit Thurs or Fri of this week :) |
