I went up North and stayed with all members of Biano's immediate family for a week. We left at 3pm (supposed to be 1pm, but there were problems with the bus) on Thursday the 13th(?) for Bolgatanga (the capital of the Upper East region which is the most northeastern part of the country, near where Burkina Faso and Togo meet the corner of Ghana). I can't believe my computer just restarted. I had a wonderful, very long update written. And I thought I was all set since travelblog.org auto-saves as you go along. Hello Again! It's Monday morning. Again. I'm always off to a slow start on Mondays. I slept in, poked around my room, picked up some reading for class, and made my way to the computers. Then it's off to Joshua's (as usual) and class in the evening. That's it for today. This weekend was nice. It's a normal, busy week over here. I somehow manage to stay up too late every night, so I'm always sleepy- but that's nothing new. I'm off to Joshua's in a few minutes, but I thought I'd write a quick update first. Sunday was very quiet. I just hung out with USAC friends and ate and read and laid around. Today is a very quiet, warm, sleepy Sunday. I'm borrowing Rachel's computer, lying on Sammy's bed, and watching "Sunshine" with Eric and Rachel. Rachel and I made veggie burgers with guacamole for lunch using fresh veggies from the night market. It was amazing. Now I'm very full and very sleepy once again. I left off last time just in time to grab my things and go to class. But then the lecturer was a no-show, so I spent the afternoon making redred for the first time. I can't believe it's already been a week since last I wrote! It's starting to feel like a normal semester in that time is somehow just flying by. I had my first Twi test this morning. The professor is a little crazy and made me a bit nervous about format (he got all upset with Mike for not formatting responses like we were taught to on the homework but the directions on the test didn't say anything about that format so I did the same thing as Mike and just wrote out the answers without rewriting all the questions- our professor is a little nuts but maybe we're just not familiar with the system) so that was annoying but not a big deal. Dear All, I seem to have accidentally started two blogs, one with travelblog.org and one with travelblog.com. Let's just say that doing anything on the internet here can take a while so you stop and start and forget which e-mails actually went through and which ones never sent. It has been a quiet week so far. This past weekend I didn't go anywhere (I barely left the dorm, actually) but I needed some rest/relaxation so I was happy with it.
