Vanessa absolutely loved studying there for a semester in college and would have loved to have stayed for the rest of the year, but was commited to doing research in China. It truly is a beautiful city with so much to offer and the music gets to your heart....along with everything else it has to offer!! We are all trying to get back so!! |

Keep us posted with updates, and we'll happily toast to your future wedded bliss tonight. Well, Michael will drink for two and I will just stare at my empty glass as the Pregnancy Sobriety Countdown continues... Just 6 little weeks to go, can you believe it? Best wishes to you both! | 28th February 2008 mnmhull | Adapting to Adapters - From: Wine, cheese, and cappuccino in Florence I've never had a problem with the adapters in Italy! I think the three prong one that you're talking about is like our three prong one in the States. But the German two prong plugs are a little bit thicker than the two prong ones that you can use in Italy. If you go to the PX get the smaller adapters...the ones in the little plastic bags, not the big round ones. Those fit down south :) Then again, maybe I'm wrong and Pisa has completely different plugs! But I'm glad the hairdryer fiasco was averted :) |
| 19th February 2008 mnmhull | I know...we suck - From: Nürnberg - WWII Historical Sights Matt had to work and didn't get home until super late for me to call and tell you :( I'm glad you guys went anyways and hope you had a great time in Tuscany/Florence this weekend! |

| 29th January 2008 Denise | I can't keep up with you! - From: We're on the move! Hey! I thought I would try to catch up with you two now that the holidays are over and here you are on the move AGAIN! It sure does sound like you are living the dream of a lifetime as you make your way across Europe! So much of what you have documented I experienced last summer in Sweden! Savor these moments...they truly are special! It is wonderful to see you both so-o-o-o happy and well. Take care and know we think of you often. Love, Denise and Ed |
| 21st January 2008 Oliver | The European Cars - From: UFO's Hi Andrea and Romas, you have got an very interessting blog. It is like seeing my homecountry through different eyes. You are very good observer and it helps to find out more about myself and my obsessions(The Supermarket thing makes me laugh out loud ect.). Even if you are right in most cases, you are wrong in this one. European Cars do not burn as much fuel as americans do, so we can travel faster and burn much less fuel and CO2 emmission. Speed for inviroment ;-) |
| 14th January 2008 mnmhull | Very True! - From: What do Germans love... My chiropractor says all three of his kids love oatmeal...and with brown sugar on it (apparently something else it's hard to find in Germany). Luckily, his dad is American and works at one of the bases here so he can keep the kids well supplied. But he says given the choice between oatmeal with brown sugar and ANY other type of food...they choose the oatmeal!! Tell this to the kids back in the States and they'll be horrified lol |
| 31st December 2007 Tasha | Love it!! - From: Pictures!! Are you guys tired of my comments yet??? I actually like your house! Happy New Year! |

| 25th December 2007 Mike Wascher | Many German dialects - From: Be careful who teaches you German!! My father, from a small German speaking village in Hungary, grew up speaking a Swabian dialect. My mother, from Sudetenland which was part of Czechoslovakia when she was born, spoke a more modern dialect. After being together for more than 30 years, and living in the US now, they'd occasionally have to use English to translate German in to German. |
| 25th December 2007 Andrea and Romas | Schweinfurt - From: Nürnberg = Nuremberg Hi Heidi! We're here because Romas is stationed here with the Army. It's great!!! We are loving every second!! I'm posting new blogs to catch up now that we have internet again! :) Andrea :) |
