Actually deciding to leave is harder than deciding where to go. Hell why not go where you haven't been before, which for most is a lot of places considering the whole wide planet earth. Just pick a place and go, and then go to another and another. Vague outlines had us considering first a southern direction and then an eastern direction. From LA, we could start in Mexico and head south to points throughout Central America. After Central America south means South America. Then an eastern direction directs us to Africa, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia and finally the Far East. We have family in Taiwan, so the island is likely an end point. We are pretty loose with plans, really letting the road dictate where to go. Advice from travelers, travel books and blogs assist us in choosing future destinations. In the end though and if the money holds, we are open to going wherever we haven't been.
