I am happy to say I am no longer a grad student and I got my advanced degree!!!

I recently bought myself some Costa Rica real estate as after a few years of travelling, I figured it would be nice to have a base of operation outside of the US for when I try and see all of Latin America.

Right now I am currently working for this online marketing compant called BlindMonkeymedia as an internet marketing consultant and thanks to them I get to travel all around the world

My latest trip was to St. Johann, Austria where I did some skiurlaub tirol as they would say in Austria.

I am now starting this blog with my latest trip which is in Costa Rica so stayed tuned for more because you never know the next place my company will send me for some business and fun.

Ha ha ha, who says you can't mix business and pleasure.

Take care,

Allie

Ok It's not an exotic vacation but I am currently in Atlanta, GA in the Decatur area to be more exact. I came to ATL to stay a week at a friend's house because afterwards, we will be going to Costa Rica where a friend of mine is getting married. Though I love Costa Rica a lot, I do have to admit that it is a very male oriented society despite all of the laws that are pro-women. For example, the groom is having his bachelor party in Costa Rica and from what I hear, he had several choices of establishment as to where he could hold his party. Us girls on the other end, only had limited amount of places where we could have our own little bash which is quite annoying.... read more

I'm back in Costa Rica for a couple of more days and then I'll be going back to LA to stay at my parent's house for a month or so. I do tend to go a lot to Costa Rica because I have several friends there so I have a place to crash whenever I want. Before I head back, I am currently shopping for gifts for my family. Since I am a free wanderer with no steady job at the moment to speak of, I am always out looking for bargains in Costa Rica or as they say in Spanish, Costa Rica descuentos. Luckily enough, as I was playing around on facebook I found this facebook page on Costa Rica ofertas y descuentos which really helped me out. I'm not one that is big on ... read more

I have been in Costa Rica for a few days now and so far I love it. The work is challenging enough but its not overbearing yet where i have to take the work back to my hotel. This saturday, I got to take a 12 hour tour outside of Costa Rica which included, a coffee plantation, Poas Volcano, rain forest and a boat tour to a banana plantation. Most of it was pretty good but I will just go over the Rainforest trip since it was the most disappointing yet fun tour. When we first arrived to the start of our rainforest tour, our guide pointed out a wooden bridge suspended by ropes that went over a small river. He told us that this is where the rainforest started. Before the rainforest tour started, we ... read more

Bye Bye Skiurlaub Tirol, Hello Pura Vida! I wanted my first entry to be about my trip to St. Johann, Austria where I enjoyed some skiurlaub tirol with a bit of business on the side but while I was there I did not have time to sit in front of a computer. So, here I am currentyl staying at the Barcelo Palacio hotel overlooking the part of town called La Uruca and only minutes away from La Sabana which is where the company I work for has its headquarter located. I arrived in Costa Rica today around noon Costa Rica time. The small airport they use was pretty easy to navigate thru even though I had some problems meeting one of my co-worker who was waiting for me with a small 10x10 inch piece of paer ... read more
