| 8th March 2005 anonymous | Nessebar - From: Nessebar or Nesebar - seen both. I have been in Nessebar last summer, and i've spent some nice time there. It's real cheap, even for Serbs who has monthly income of about 200 euro. Big glass of tequila is about 50ct :) Lunch in restaurant is real cheap too. There are great number of foregin tourists, meny Swedish chick :) You must be watchful when you change money in exchange offices, because Bulgarians are big thiefs. Official rate was 1.9 lev=1 euro. If you want to go there, go before the August15th, because of the weather. Have a nice time in Bulgaria, and maybe visit Montenegro first! - Jovo from Serbia |

| 26th January 2005 Ali | To Commentator - World Traveller - From: Varna, 7000 years of history. I could easily delete your comment, but I'll respond: 1. Saw them very impressive, worth visiting Varna for, journal to follow. 2 & 3. Didn't see them. 4. What? 5. When I'm on the road fashion shopping is not a top priority. 6. When - not when I was there. 7. Better beaches to the south. Finally - what have you got against people from the UK? Your comment is one of the most ridiculous and predjudiced I've ever read. Care to share your journal? |
| 26th January 2005 anonymous | Thank you Mr Watters - From: Varna, 7000 years of history. Or Ali? You seem to be having difficulties deciding what is good in life and what not...Instead of just acting accordingly. Of course being from the UK it is understandable... Some of the things which you obviously missed out in Varna: 1.Ethnological Museum: Some of the World's earliest gold ornaments. 2.Varna Summer: An International Classical Music Festival 3.Jazz Music Festival 4.Healthier looking people than the product of fish and chips/mad cow diet. 5.Shopping for fashion / healthy food... 6.Beer festival 7.And of course the beach - not just there for collecting Cockles & Mussels but actually to swim in water nearing upper 30 C while the wonderfully catered for beaches allow you to relax ... but oh no there is a problem here - most ladies are topless, so if you aren't comfortable with the dogs doing their thing, this will really be a problem for you... Here is a hint from a master world traveller: If you want to obtain the full benefit from your visit to a place, forget where you come from. If you don't succeed at first , try harder - it's OK, we understand... The British conquered the world and changed the way tea is drunk to suit their taste... I suppose it is in your genes. May I suggest reading "The Tao oh Pooh"...? PS.:It's OK for dogs to be copulating out in the open on a bright summer day. Isn't this what British Rock Knighthood bearing Sirs teach us? Keep safe on the road. - World Traveller |

| 16th October 2004 anonymous | Zion National Park - Angels Landing - From: Angels Landing Angels Landing must be one of the best all time hikes that the average hiker can go on. | 4th September 2004 anonymous | - From: Unexpected Belgrade It sounds like a great few hours in Belgrade. Your pictures are terrific! On a side note the "Belgrade Cathedral" is actually St.Sava Temple and it's not being rebuilt or renovated, it's actually still being built. A slow and arduous process that started again in 1985. Great work. I'm off to read more of your travels. |
| 29th August 2004 anonymous | Gannets at Cape Kidnappers - From: Art Deco City There are two Gannet colonies at Cape Kidnappers, the main colony on the Cape itself and a secondary colony at Black Reef (both are shown in the photos on the blog). The main colony has over 5,000 nesting pairs and is the only mainland nesting colony of the Australasian Gannet in the world. The juvenials leave the nest and travel the Pacific and Indian oceans for a couple of years and then return to the Cape around November to find a mate which they mate with for life. Each year thereafter they return to the same spot to raise young. The Gannet colonies of Cape Kidnappers are truly an amasing place well worth the visit! |
