WOPA trip for Haitian earthquake in Santo Domingo

On January 12th Haiti experienced one of the most devastating earthquakes in history killing over 200,000 people and injuring countless more. Many injured by the earthquake were taken to the neighboring Dominican Republic for treatment. Some injured Haitians who were treated by hospitals in the Dominican Republic have been transferred to shelters in Santo Domingo.
This Saturday I will be helping the World Organization for Positive Action (WOPA) bring food, medicine and other supplies to Hogar Vida y Esperanza - a shelter that is currently home for 30 to 50 Haitian children that have survived the earthquake and been treated by hospitals in the Dominican Republic. The shelter expects to receive many more children and adults as they are released from the hospital.
