Hi Sands. Just back from Wrexham - not as long a drive as I thought it would be. Five hours - but we had a one hour stop for some food etc. Got home and did the washing of the kit for Adam's next jaunt. Taking Tom, Stuart and Adam to Edinburgh early this evening (Thursday) - will have food then bed as boys have to be at Edinburgh airport for 5.30am Friday morning. Hope you have arrived safe at your next port of call -I did text but maybe you have no signal - I'll try phoning too. Keep having a great time - but - yes you've guessed it - take care! Love you heaps and heaps. Mum XXXX

Send us some sunshine! - From: Made it to Sydney!
Glad to hear that you are enjoying the sunshine while we shiver at -8degrees! Took me 2 1/2 hours to get home through the snow etc on Friday- a bit of a contrast to you sitting on the beach! Not the best weather for your mum driving her swanky new car- which looks good- note I'm still waiting for a lift from her!! I hope that your spider bite is a bit better- it sounded awful! Midgie bites sound tame by comparison! Glad you enjoyed the Top Gear show- did you hear Jeremy Clarkson make the remark re Gordon Brown? Typical Clarkson. Saddened to hear about the fires in Victoria and relieved that you are nowhere near. Difficult to contemplate the heat when it's so cold here. anyway, take care. By the way your photos are super- you're obviously having the time of your life! I'll keep an eye on your mum and see that she behaves herself. Love Yvonne x

Hi Alex Glad to hear that you enjoyed Christmas in Tasmania sounds great and so laid back. I have also read your mum's comment- she said that she would leave a "public" one. She's getting really good on the computer! We also had a good time at Christmas. The kids are off to a celidh in the Lemon Tree tonight so I hope that their hangovers won't be too bad for the family get together tomorrow. Met your mum last Monday for lunch and she was in good spirits- she does check your blog etc daily- I think she travels every step of the way with you. I hope that you enjoy taking welcoming in 2009 in warmer climes than here- no snow but -11 in Nairn and Inverness- we're relatively warmer at -3! Take care and God bless- keep safe. Yvonne x

weekend story - From: Finally got a job!! Whoop!!
G'DAY Shelia ( Sands ), I can see your having a fair dinkum time. Down for the hockey at the weekend with Keith and Heath, Ann and Colin stayed at the Braid Hills with us. Sat games were great. Adam and Stu played really well and they were unlucky not to beat East. 4-2 Adz-2.The Midland game was less good but they managed a win.3-2 Adz-2 Went for a few beers and a meal and off to bed. Up at 8.00 for breakfast and Mum left the hot shower running, this set off the fire alarm, so everyone out untill the fire brigade checked the hotel ( baltic ). Breakfast was a rather red faced experience. Arrived at Peffer and as we walked round West scored in the first min. They held their own but West were that bit better. 5-1 The play off game was exciting and it went to flicks. Adam,Scott, John and Stu scored and Tom saved a couple to win it.Adz-2+the flick. The North crowd were the obvious winners of the loudest supporters and we gave the umpires pelters ( they were- it rhyme's with trap ) We might not know the rules, but when has that ever mattered. Got stuck in a traffic jam outside Dundee on the way home as did the boys bus. Enjoy the work and remember not to cut off anything with the chainsaw. I'll show you the birthday presents when you get back, if they are still around. Speak to you shortly. Luv Dad

Hi Sands, The private message is in the post, but now that i have joined the bloggers, I felt the need to let everyone know. It seems like only last week that you left, but were looking forward to you arriving back. ( only kidding ) I'm surprised they let you out of the zoo. I've been up to see Taz but the devil is ignoring me and she won't even eat an apple, although all the others in the fields think they're great. It's turned rather nippy but she's still out at night but it might be time for the stable shortly.Got to go it's bedtime but no doubt you will be hearing from us. Lots of luv, Dad
