| 15th September 2009 Phil | Mirrors - From: Hong Kong...... We Made it! Hi, I can see from youre most recent photographs that you can now travel a bit lighter by dumping the mirror, what a shiney place Hong Kong is, Alex you now have no excuse for not having that well required shave, no need to do arms and legs and chest, I think you may get arrested for stripping in the streets. I hope you did not cave in and have a McDonalds, please say you didn't. Hope the stiff necks get better what with all that looking up at the sky scrapers. What was the name of the horse and the donkey? just being curios! Have a safe trip to Oz and say hello to Shiela, don't forget to look up my cousin he lives there, he will be in the phone book.............Phil |

| 14th September 2009 Rob Handfield | News... - From: Hong Kong...... We Made it! Don't know how much you're getting but here is some trivial news... 1. West Brom are top under the astute mangership of Roberto DiMateo; 2. England have qualified for the World Cup; 3. City are actually turning out to be really good; 4. Championship Manager 2010 has been available on a 'Radiohead style' pay what you want download (1p aha); 5. I've bought a house with Sally in Wilmslow; 6. Ian has had another child - a girl this time, to be know as Charlotte. That's all I can think of, in no particular order of priority. Have fun, see you in a few months. PS, points 1, 2 and 3 are in no way related to point 4. which is of course not real life... |

| 1st September 2009 Gareth | Getting there - From: Onwards Through Uzbekistan You do know that it is very naughty to leave your blog on a cliff-hanger like that. Leave the county to where, how, when? Especially since we know that you have already reached and passed through that point. All is well here in the UK, put the 8th of May in your diaries! Stay safe and try not to make me too jealous. Gareth |

| 26th August 2009 Phil | Now thats the way to do it - From: Turkmenistan - From the Bazaar to the Down Right Ridiculous Hi Alex and Sarah, Great to see you two are having a great time, I was rather jealous when reading through your latest travel in and around Turkmenistan. The closest we / I have ever come to the Burnining Gas Crater is our new three burner gas camping stove with flip down toaster. Yes we have been camping and yes Liz came along to, we had a great time and have even vetured to a second camp. Liz did concede and thought best not to take the foot spa and hair striaghteners on second outing. Again we have come close to the flying birds but yes you have guseed it, moths flying around the BBQ. Sarah I must say there must brean easier way of toasting those marshmallows, keep away from the edge, and as for Alex there is no amount of pee that will put that fire out, admit it. The city of Ashgabat looks fantastic however our village od Stewarton can give it a run for it's money ( I don't think so). As you may have heard the pricew of fuel is rising again and o doubt we will be buying in litre bottles as well if it keeps on going up, thank heavens we have our ASDA. The Arch of Neutrality is an amazing structure, we could do with one of them to tie the hooligans up to and leave them their for a week or two, better still the Lada will do fine, enough of my moans. Hopefully Liz will have up-dated on adoption front, so until I / we write again continue to enjoy your short break and keep on sending the blogs. X for Sarah and hug for Alex, no he is not getting a x |
| 24th August 2009 liz | - From: Turkmenistan - From the Bazaar to the Down Right Ridiculous those pics of the crator are amazing (as your photos always are). The people wasting all that gas for want of a match is so sad. take care, Liz |

| 10th August 2009 Ian S | - From: From Syria to Iran (Tourism in the Axis of Evil) Good to know you are still alive we were starting to worry about you. Keep up the posting you are keeping us all entertained. |
| 9th August 2009 Mark | Iran, we want it. - From: From Syria to Iran (Tourism in the Axis of Evil) Thanks for the amazing post update. Especially because it is right when you left us. Long time coming eh? Well Annie and I are now living in Burlington, Vermont a short 2,300 mile drive from our hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. After 3.5 days of driving across the US we arrived and had no place to live so we camped for 4 days. We are now in a lovely house and Medical School starts tomorrow for me. I am really excited about starting my studies, as the British would say. Annie and I aren't quite sure where you are now but we assume Australia? Or maybe on to South America already. Annie and I are planning some trips to the UK in the next years so we would love to come and stay with you, and if you have any reason to visit Vermont, which is amazing, let us provide that reason. We miss you and are envious of your grand adventures. Remember even though you have been traveling for a really long time you're really going to miss it when you are done. So, enjoy every moment that you have together in the foreign lands of greatness, you are truly living a dream. ADIOS: Feistip Pandemics The Nargileh Man |
