| 26th August 2009 Phil | Now thats the way to do it - From: Turkmenistan - From the Bazaar to the Down Right Ridiculous Hi Alex and Sarah, Great to see you two are having a great time, I was rather jealous when reading through your latest travel in and around Turkmenistan. The closest we / I have ever come to the Burnining Gas Crater is our new three burner gas camping stove with flip down toaster. Yes we have been camping and yes Liz came along to, we had a great time and have even vetured to a second camp. Liz did concede and thought best not to take the foot spa and hair striaghteners on second outing. Again we have come close to the flying birds but yes you have guseed it, moths flying around the BBQ. Sarah I must say there must brean easier way of toasting those marshmallows, keep away from the edge, and as for Alex there is no amount of pee that will put that fire out, admit it. The city of Ashgabat looks fantastic however our village od Stewarton can give it a run for it's money ( I don't think so). As you may have heard the pricew of fuel is rising again and o doubt we will be buying in litre bottles as well if it keeps on going up, thank heavens we have our ASDA. The Arch of Neutrality is an amazing structure, we could do with one of them to tie the hooligans up to and leave them their for a week or two, better still the Lada will do fine, enough of my moans. Hopefully Liz will have up-dated on adoption front, so until I / we write again continue to enjoy your short break and keep on sending the blogs. Long time coming eh? Well Annie and I are now living in Burlington, Vermont a short 2,300 mile drive from our hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. After 3.5 days of driving across the US we arrived and had no place to live so we camped for 4 days. We are now in a lovely house and Medical School starts tomorrow for me. I am really excited about starting my studies, as the British would say. Annie and I aren't quite sure where you are now but we assume Australia? Or maybe on to South America already. Annie and I are planning some trips to the UK in the next years so we would love to come and stay with you, and if you have any reason to visit Vermont, which is amazing, let us provide that reason. We miss you and are envious of your grand adventures. Remember even though you have been traveling for a really long time you're really going to miss it when you are done.
