Whoopsie Hi Mrs. Dorrance! As you can see from my most recent blog, I actually haven't been QUITE as bad about not blogging--I just didn't know how to use the blog website :P I'll try to get more on top of things, though XP Cheers!
about time! only kidding - so glad to hear about your adventures. To no one's surprise you are having the time of your life! We DO still miss you tho... :( Try to get back to the blog once a month - at the very least, & continue to enjoy Chile w/gusto! XXXOOO
Alex,
Loved reading about the climb, choir competition, road trip, etc.
Thanks for sharing with such enthusiasm and description.
Remember your grandma Donna at 17,000 feet.

Great Photos! Hey Alex, hope your having fun. The photos are excellent. I'm trying to figure out a way to insert them in the yearbook this year! Maybe a special feature on alumni, a where are they now kind of thing. Keep snapping away. We miss you around here!! P.
Sounds like a terrific adventure. Enjoy, for the time will go fast.
Some really nice pictures. A beautiful country.
JD is doing well in Madison. A little worried about calc 11. First home football game on Saturday. He is meeting many new people. I'm sure he would like to be with you on all of your travels.
Take care and stay safe.
THE SONG " TE QUIERO" I think this song ( correct name is Te quiero) was know as " Somos mucho mas que dos" durante mis tiempos :) es una cancion de Mario Benedetti y fue cantada en mis tiempos por Joan Manuel Serrat pero, mucho otros la han cantado. La letra es muy bonita. I wish i coud hear you. A piano or guitar and a boy and a girl duet is reaaaaalllllyyyy nice. I 'll bet Youtube would have it with someone. Maybe!!

Your first week Alex,
While reading your recent post, I became very excited for you. A little jealous because it looks like you will have an adventure for the next year. We (Rice Lake Rotary) are very proud to send students on exchanges. We have Emanuel, who is from Austria living in Rice Lake for a year, and he is having some great times also. Good luck and keep posting.
My best,
Marlene Gargulak

Alex-
Looks like a beautiful town! Glad to hear you made it. Flight delays are a bummer. Seems like you have a nice family and good food! Look forward to reading more blog entries. You make it so detailed that it is like reading a story. (That is a complement BTW :)) I will try my best to keep up with the blog and make posts. Tea Rocks!

WOW Hi Alex,
Wow, it sounds great so far!!! I'm so happy for you. Just looking at your picture with your host mom tells me that they are VERY excited to have you with them. REALLY!!!!!! I don't think your blog is too long either. It's cool to write what you are feeling at the moment :):) That's what makes your blog personal.
Looking forward to more blogs and pictures :):)
Take care,
Lynn
Happy you arrived safely! Wonderful to hear of your new adventures and see pictures of your new friends. We miss you but are so excited for your new experience. Having this tool makes it so much easier, knowing we can see how you are.

From Dagmar and Jamie Alex. I missed you by only hours. I returned to Minneapolis late on the 18th.
Like the blog and something we share is the long winded part. I like that though. Sounds like all is as it should be or (all is "right and safe")
Certainly was terrific to see you all at your house for dinner.
All for now
Jamie
Mom says " the pictures and your narrative are tremendous. I am so glad Jamie is here so I can see these things." "Perhaps it will motivate me to learn more about my computer."
