A World Heritage Site, Hampi is a place where you can lose yourself among the wistful ruins, or simply be mesmerized by the vagaries of nature, wondering how millions of years of volcanic activity and erosion could have resulted in a landscape so captivating (lonely planet). Since the minute I arrived to Hampi I fell in love with it. It is like heaven on the Earth. I even forgot a very long journey from Goa and all I wanted was to get a room quickly so I could go for a walk. Christmas My first Christmas away from home was very different but very nice in its own way. On Christmas Eve day I did some sight-seeing and went to few shops because one of the man that I was staying with is a taxi driver and he gets some points from shops when he brings customers (and it does not matter whether I buy something or not). That day I went for a quick stroll to Colva beach which is the busiest beach in south Goa. South Goa is relatively quiet to compare with busy north part where all parties with drugs are going on. It is my second week in India and me being alone on my trip. Surprisingly I’m coping far better than I thought I would at the very beginning of my trip. I am in Goa and will be here until Sunday night when I will head to HAMPI. Hampi is interesting because of its history and temples you can visit within the town and in places close to Hampi. Here in Goa I am staying with an Indian family. I am so happy as I had opportunity to see a bit of their culture. For instance, wedding is such an important event and they are happy to talk how much money they spent on it. It is 19:20 in Mumbai I am sitting in an internet café near by my hotel and sipping freshly made orange and pineapple juice. I had an amazing start of my trip as my sweetest friend Nickola surprised me by upgrading me to business class. I had been told that just before I boarded the plane. When I got on the plane I was bouncing inside quietly not to get unnecessary looks as all other passengers seemed to be used to all the extra staff that comes with business class J I had a great rest on the plane as I could make bed out of my seats. Only few days left before I start my big trip and thought it would be a great idea (to be honest not my idea - thanks to my friend DEIVIDAS :) ) to create a profile so I could blog and upload photos while I am travelling so you, all my dear friends, will be able to share these wonderful moments with me.
