Moving to Amoribieta
Hi, I'm moving to The Basque Country at the end of next year with my boyfriend who is from there. I am currently working as a nurse in the UK and my spanish is poor. I have tried to research jobs but it seems that being a nurse over there is out of the question as I can't find any info about nursing agencies that deal with ex pats and there doesn't seem to be a lot of work. I just wondered if you knew of anyone over there working as a nurse and the best way to go about it? I'm thinking of doing the TEFL training so I could teach english. Also I want to go to school to learn spanish when I am there. Are the classes in english or spanish? And lastly are there many other english people there. I didn't meet any when I was over on hols. I just got stared at by everyone like you! Thanks. Any advice would be great.

Continents
They think there are 5 and they call themselves continentals? Are these the same people who paid a crazy Italian to sail off the edge of the world thinking he would never come back and they wouldn't have to give him any more money? Imagine how shocked they were when he came back! Mobile homes are great except for the tornado deal! (Ask a Midwesterner!) Glad to hear things are well!

Yay Assisi
It's good to see some more pictures of Assisi! I was there in May and I've lost all my pictures from the trip! Half of my group stayed at Casa Papa Giovanni's and the other half, me included, stayed at the hotel just down the street--Hotel Posta Panoramica? I loved the quiet town and the beautiful Church of St. Francis, and the Rocca Maggiore! We were there in time for the Corpus Christi Mass which was insane! There was a medieval festival and then the mass at night, then a procession into the piazza. It was amazing! Glad to see you had fun too! Happy Travels, Lauren

Mayo is the sickest, nastiest, grossest invention ever. I'm going to hurl just thinking about it!

I think mayo is the most disgusting thing in the world and I can't fathom how anyone would rather dip french fries into mayo over ranch....what the hell is wrong with people!

Mayo- and too soon on the enter key
I grew up on Salad Dressing (Miracle Whip) so when I was first offered Mayo I said no because I was thinking Salad Dressing. I learned.... I wouldn't put mayo on everything but it sure beats the heck out of 5 furry, scrawny rodent in any enclosed space. Travel squirrel-free!

NEIN = no
Can you speak English -> Kannst du Englisch Sprechen? (roughly pronounced cannst doo english spreck-ken) When they're saying nine, it's actually spelt nein which means No. :) A useful phrase - Excuse me, where is the youth hostel? -> Es tut mir leid, wo ist die Jungendherbege? (roughly pronounced "es toot me-er light, voe ist dee yoong-en-her-burger") An online German/English dictionary for you -> http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/ Might be a good idea to grab a German phrase book to help you through the rest of your trip :)
