Well, we had a little accident with our car back in the fall, and it was totaled. Does that stop us from travelling? No way! We hitchhiked to Bordeaux to visit the infamous Chateau Chauvin!... read more
We got engaged back on July 17th. Here are the pictures from the virgin beach where it happened.... read more
Well....Its official! We're engaged!!! I will give the full update later with pictures, but this weekend we went 3 hours to the west to Asturias, and Jesus proposed to me over a glass of wine, on a virgin beach (with the softest sand I have ever felt) at sunset ! What more could ya ask for?! I'm not sure I actually said yes, just nodded profusely amidst tears... he assures me I said yes, and i can't change my mind now! haha In case you didn't know, Jesus and I met when I went on my 4 month European extravaganza. He is from Spain/Basque Country, hence why I live here now. It was love at first sight and the rest is history!!! OK....exactly 16 days and 5 hours until we arrive in San HO! I expect ... read more
The title of this blog is "None of this was a mistake"...its my new favorite Spanish song, and well, the only one I can sing along to knowing the words. I had many demands for more pictures, so I added them to my last blog and to this one. As I was looking through them, I noticed that pretty much all of them are "nights out"....hmmm. I swear we don't party very often!! And unfortunetely, my camera that I bought in December decided to die on me, so there will be no more until August when I can come home and fix it. A) it did not die during a night of partying (it died in the mountains for no reason) and B) yes I know I could fix it here but they want to charge ... read more
So I guess you all want an update huh? In case you didn't know, I moved back to the North of Spain, to Basque Country, back in February. I'll just start off by saying "I'm loving it!" I'm not working yet because you need a visa to get a job and you need a job to get a visa. I also advertised my services as a native English teacher, but no one seems to care about English, except for one guy who is going to Japan in the summer. (How does that work?) So basically i just go to Spanish class for 1.5 hours 4 days a week. Except I have been on spring break for 2 weeks. Unfortunetly, my Spanish is kind of at a plateau. I guess I could actually study, but... Anyways, Life ... read more
Ok So after my one night stay in Manchester where I literally just slept all day and all night, I went to the train station at 9PM to make my way to the airport outside of London. So i had to sleep in the Birmingham train station from 11-5am. But unfortunetly I didn't sleep one wink. Once I got on the train with all my crap...which by the way, I took up 4 seats with my crap....I finally dozed off a little. When I fell asleep there was no one on the train, when i woke up it was jam packed and people were crammed into the aisles...yet I had 4 seats full of crap, and I was sprawled out on two of them. Haha sorry people. I needed my American backpacker sign. So I finally ... read more
Ok well, I am now safely back home in San Jose, but dont' worry, I will recap the last month. So when i last left you, i was about to head down to Brighton. Well, I think that Brighton, despite being the gay capital of England and therefore Europe, is my favorite town in England. Of course I love London, but Brighton was so great. Could it be due to the fact that I arrived on a Thursday and the very next night conveniantly, a local club was having a Morrissey tribute night? SO glorious. And at this club they even had play-doh for people to create their own version of Morrissey. I won't go into detail about some of the atrocities some people created. Brighton was just really beautiful and clean and well, just imagine ... read more

Hello beloved followers, i hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. Mine was pretty non-descript. i have been told that the british still hold it against us! haha. i haven't written in a while because i haven't really done much. i hid out at my cousin's flat for days on end, just relaxing (one day I slept literally all day). sure, i went back to hyde park and ate lunch (obviously another baguette...by the way, I brought my friend to the same place except he didnt' get the salad or the mayo. I can't imagine it was any good. On a side note. I have a friend at home who has a little possee that despise mayo. in fact, she started a survey about whether people would rather a mayo sandwich, or to be zipped up ... read more
