Actually, it was the day before Christmas and nobody gave a stuff because it was just another day. So update. I still have the cold and I still have some stomach thing going on. Why am I still sick damn it! Blaa… And to correct you, I watched 8 episodes of greys yesterday and Kristina watched 11, haha. … I am still in a bad mood. I mean really bad. I don’t want to talk about it. So what did I do today? We walked to the big Buddha, which is being built right near the village, I took some happy [View Full Entry]

The Big Buddha
The Bathroom
My Aunty

Just got a message from Mark my friend (?) haha he will know what I mean. I have realised these blogs are boring. Well do you find them boring? I feel like I’m just writing rubbish, haha well you can read my rubbish then. Full steam ahead for the construction on the bathroom today! … My head feels like it weighs a thousand tonnes, if that’s possible… Jeez I sound like a never-ending complaining machine don’t I? I have a cold. Yes I know, a cold you say? Weird I know but I can’t stop sneezing and my nose won’t stop [View Full Entry]

Ubon Asia » Thailand » Eastern Thailand » Ubon Ratchathani
It’s really weird. I’m usually up quite early here unlike back home, what is wrong with me!! 7am in the morning!? That’s crazy! But today we went into Ubon Ratchitani, which is 34km away, and we took a Song Tel in (it’s similar or a bit Ute with seat and a roof in the back). It take about and hour or so to get there. So we went to the Internet café and I chatted to mark and Andrew on skype for a while which was good (haha Ariel is on the phone leaning on a coconut tree, not a wise [View Full Entry]

Today we got up @ 5.30am because it was Temple Day. Mum and Dad donated 10,009 baht (about $350AUS) to the village temple. We gave food to the monks and there was Buddhist prayer. It’s quite spiritual, I’ve never thought of myself to be religious and no offence to any Christians but its never really interested me but Buddhism for me is different its peaceful. I got given and new bracelet from the head monk, Christians were a cross, I’ll wear my bracelet but its not just for the sake of it it’s a spiritual accepting of the religion and more [View Full Entry]

Walking to the Temple
Monks
Dad handing over the money

Woohoo! I slept really well last night! Yay! Apart from Dad snoring in the other room every now and then and it being a little cold, I can’t believe I slept well. Because they are not like regular beds, they are really thin mattresses (no springs) on the ground (and not foam). But all I have to say is yay! Construction on the bathroom today. … Yes, hospital. Let me start from the beginning. I’ve been feeling sick lately but nothing unusual for me. So this morning we went to Khueng Nai to go to the hardware Store to get stuff [View Full Entry]

Bathroon Construction
Mum
Mum, Kristina on Hammock and Bathroon Construction

I didn’t sleep very well last night. My back hurts and I don’t feel very well and I am so tired. But here I am, it is 7.26am and none of the Falangs (white people apart from Locky) are up yet and I feel horrible. I was sandwiched between two girls last nite with very little space to move. Usually I can sleep anywhere; I am surprised that I couldn’t. I am sitting on the balcony and I can see mum playing with Louie (our adopted dog) and I can see 2 coconut husks my parents cleaned for me so I [View Full Entry]

Welcome! Asia » Thailand » Eastern Thailand » Ubon Ratchathani
We have finally made it to the village! Not much has changed, I am sitting downstairs @ the newly purchased bamboo (mai pai in Thai) table setting with bloody midges flying all around me. It’s good to see Ma and Pa again and see the rest of the family. Dad has big plans for the bathroom, which he and Locky are planning to build. I am really tired due to the lack of sleep but it’s too hot even to try and get some sleep. It’s so quiet it’s unbelievable. Going from Bangkok to here, all you can hear here are [View Full Entry]

On a train Somewhere Asia » Thailand » Central Thailand » Bangkok
Yes, yes I am. I can see Ariel on the bunk opposite me, and Jim below her. Kristina is sleeping below me, and this train is very rocky… So what was today like? Well, checked out of the hotel then went to MBK (shopping centre) then lunch, the Siam Centre Mall, then the Internet Café! I was there for ages loading up all of my photos and videos and stuff and reading emails from some of you guys . And it only costs about $1.50/hr on the net, cheap! We then shopped a bit more. Kristina got 2 soccer (football) tops [View Full Entry]

I know it’s very mean but I mean old rich men jumping into pools, WRONG! I swear the pool is full of perves so therefore, I refuse to swim! They also have the rule of no board shorts or any other form of clothing, bathers only (which mean 1 piece or two piece..). So that’s another reason why I won’t swim. I’m sitting by the pool with Jim @ the Federal Hotel, it’s nicer here than in the burning sun, but it’s still hot. Today we went to Chatuchuk market in Bangkok. They were really nice and busy and smelly and [View Full Entry]

Second Home Asia » Thailand » Central Thailand » Bangkok
So we left Singapore! And as much as I enjoyed my time there I am glad to be going to my second home, Thailand. But I swear Singapore airport duty free shopping is going to my weakness… Everything is SO cheap… Did I mention that there is a Tiffany & Co there!!?? So it should be interesting when I am stuck there for 5hrs on the way back… Ooo.. Transformers is on the plane… . … So we have finally made it here and I have already used up all my credit to tell you guys my mobile number while I [View Full Entry]
