Who would have thought that after 6 countries, 31 cities and 8 months overseas that we would find paradise in our very last location. It's hard to believe but Langkawi has had actually had the magical ability to make us totaly forget that we were ever in Hong Kong which is somthing we never anticipated. Gone is the bitterness that we experienced for so many months and replaced is the feeling of ultra relaxation. How do people not know about this place. For anybody reading this blog and looking at taking a trip to Thailand or Fiji, scrap that save some money and spend as much time as you can here. Not only does the place have 30 dollar whole lobsters, beautiful sandy beaches with crystal clear water, the friendlest people on earth and perfect temperature ... read more

A guy is dating three women and comes to the realisation that its time to settle down and get married. As a test he gives them all 1000 dollars and tells them to do what they will with it. The first woman comes back with a fine cigar and a bottle of vintage champagne and says if you choose me you will spend the rest of your life being spoilt. The second woman spends the 1000 dollars on a little red dress make up and a new hairdo and says you will forevever be with a beautiful woman if you choose me. The third woman goes straight on the stocks, invests the thousand and doubles the money giving him back his original thousand and reinvesting the profits. She says i will keep you wealthy beyond your ... read more

I always new i wasn't quite normal growing up. While other kids were bugging their parents with answers to the latest trigenometry homework I was more interested in knowing why sheep didn't shrink in the rain and why lemon flavouring is artificial yet theres 'real lemon juice' in dish washig liquid??? My thirst for the absurd has created the freak you see and read before you and i have only myself to blame. It has created a person who is easily distracted from the normality of every day life and fascinted by anything that sits outsides it boundries. For instance. Right now, like most of you who are probably reading this blog, I am supposed to be working. I find this quite ironic. The computer and internet invented to streamline our working lives and make it ... read more

Time is of the essence, but the essence is of time! That makes absolutely no sense what so ever but i was just curious how many of you would spend a second or two trying to phylosophically think about it. Or does it make sense? Oww my brains bleeding If anyone has any information on the where abouts of September and October we would love to hear from you as it seems on our calender they've been misplaced. Perhaps in the blur of cramming in 78 episodes of lost with 70 hours+ a week at work they are forever gone in the void that is our brains. Either way this years dissapeared. Weve already been gone just over 6 months and we're only now begining to feel the effects of too long a holiday followed by ... read more

How have I not known for all these years that Fabio had his nose broken by a goose on a rollercoaster? Does everyone else know this? It seems quite a few years ago Fabio was hired by a theme park for some reason to be among the first few to try a new rollercoaster that had been built. He strapped himself in, smiled for the papparazi and was on his way. Whilst rocketing through the loop the loop a goose who was living in a near by pond flew past for a closer look at the most beautiful man in the world and ended up exploding on his face. The ride stops and Fabio lumbers out with a broken nose and a handful of goose feathers to top up his pillows. The goose will live on.......... ... read more

Finally dragging Kym away from Hoi An we got on ... suprise, suprise, another bus this time to Mui Ne. Over the past few months spent hiking and sight seeing the thought of a beach has always been on the back of our mind. Not to say everything else weve done hasn't been entertaining, its just that when its 35 degrees everyday you never want to be too far away from a beer and some water. We're obviously waiting for the water. From the second we step foot off the bus and for the first time in almost a month it begins to rain like nobodys business. Streets are flooded within minutes, restaurants are sweeping water out of their dining rooms and any hope of actually swimming has been washed away. Kind of like back home ... read more

Theres somthing that I need to get off my chest and it's not the hair that Kym is so desperate for me to wax. It was year 11 camp, Outdoor Ed. There was a 15km hike through the Grampian's National Park following by camping at night and then a bus ride back to town the following day. Being the health concious kid I was, I decided rather than eat all the chips and chocolates that all the other kids were taking on the journey I was going to take some dried apricots. 2kgs of them. Truth be known its all my 1 dollar 20 cents was going to buy me. At camp that night by the fire I felt somthing I'd never felt before. I can liken it only to the movie Alien were that thing ... read more

When did they send the pamphlets out telling everybody how many people live in their country? Im pretty sure it wasn't during school, although we did spend a lot of time wagging and going to 7-11 for slurpies. It definatly wasn't during orientation at any workplace we've ever worked at either. "The kettles over there, press 1 to dial an outside line and Australia has 21 million people". So how the hell does everyone in the world except us know how many people are from their city and country. When we where in Cambodia for instance a little Cambodian kid who was trying to sell us somthing said "where you from?" upon telling him from Australia he goes "G'day mate, capital Canberra, 21 million people" How the hell did HE get the pamphlet? We wouldnt have ... read more

Backpackers may be the only group of individuals in the world named after their luggage carrying devices. Thats kind of strange dont you think? What do they call people who carry a sack? Pretty unfortunate. No real backpacker wants to be known as a backpacker either. They want to be travellers. Travellers have a sense of adventure, an endless bank account and are never afraid of the unknown. Backpackers have a reputation of being cultureless, dirty and so tight that they make Jews seem frivilous ( there it is, weve singularly insulted every group of stereotypes known to man in these blogs). It used to be easy to distinguish them by backpacks alone until companys went ahead and started putting wheels on backpacks thus fucking everything up. Nowadays your average backpacker has cottoned on to this, ... read more

just get right into the opening rant shall we. I was informed just recently that political correctness has taken on new forms of stupidity in England and the words blackboard and whiteboard are no longer used in schools! They are now known as dustboard and wipeboard so that it doesnt offend anyone who may have that coloured skin??? For god sake what is wrong with people? Im waiting for them to ban black and white from the dictionary all together and just call them lightish and darkish or somthing equally as ridiculous. In fact so that we dont offend anyone at all lets just ban those colours all together. Just get rid of em. Watching what you say these days requires more care than farting with dioherrea. I mean im all for subtelty. If someones fat, ... read more
