I arrived in Christchurch last night. I was tired as it was 10 at night and agreed to pay the shuttle driver $17 to take me to my hostel. I sat waiting to leave when he made a deal with three guys going to the same hostel as I was $8 per person. I was too tired to question him, but once we arrived he charged me $17 even after I questioned him. Ugh! I felt ripped off but I have now learned $17 is the rate. You live and learn.... Today I arrived in Auckalnd. It is very much like Los Angeles just a smaller scale. The city is decorated for Christmas. It reminds me of the decorations on Hollywood Blvd. for the Hollywood Lane parade. I'm starting to miss home a bit. I have been told once you arrive in Auckland, get out and go to the South island. I ended up spending the remainer of my time at the Aquarius Resort. I met quite a few people. I met two women from New Zealand Eileen and Paula. They are wonderful! They showed me the ropes in downtown Nadi. I spent the day shopping. It was great fun. I also met two girls from Australia Zelka and Elecey. The staff at the Aquarius were very accomodating. Today I took a 2 hour ferry to Kuata. I have never been sea sick but ohhhh. I only had an orange before leaving but I was so sick. The crew on the boat were so kind. They tried every way possible to help me. There were about 15 of us. It was very rough because of the weather. I was so glad to arrive. Upon arrival I was greeted by several upset travelers. Well today I stayed at the Smugglers Cove. It was my first time staying in a dorm. I had a good experience made lots of friends. It was hard getting used to sleeping in a unisex room with 36 other people. The woman at reception knew it was my time so she put me in a cubicle with one other girl next to the woman's bathroom. Excellent location. => I'm off tomorrow for the island of Kuata. I have decided to stay 4 nights on this island. It is a natural reserve. Well, I have less than a week before I embark on my journey. I'm frazzled beyond belief. => I have misplaced my international cell phone, and am scrambling to get things accomplished. I am meditating daily trying to stay centered. Its finally here! I'm anxious to see where this leads. I leave for Fiji, Tuesday November 22nd. Then I'm off to New Zealand, Australia (for the holidays), Bali, and Bangkok. This is where my airline ticket ends and my free spirit kicks in. So hold your hats, feel my wind!
