What a world! Hey girl! Beautiful!!!! John really wants to go back. He wants to know if you're going to Oyatatambo. sp? I think you understand the sp? Some of those Spanish and old Inca words are tough! Tropical Storm Nabi is bearing down on us. It is due to hit Okinowa soon and then mainland Japan AKA Kyushu. They have already cancelled school for tomorrow. Here's to an ultra long labor day weekend and to no one getting hurt! Can't wait until you're home and we can grill you on the phone!!!! Love and miss ya! Gar
current events When I heard of the plane crash in Peru I did not figure that you had heard about it. It reminded me when I was living in Papuaq New Guinea and a volcano destroyed the most beautiful city in the country. I heard about it from friends in the USA. We got video from Australia about the destruction. AH well
healer When i was in Papua New Guinea I was called the "mekanek blong man" (a man mechanic) and as a PA I was named the "dokta boi" (doctor boy). One interesting item was that we popped popcorn pn the open fire. The village folks had never seen, such an oddity, except for us.
Little old ladies are like that! Yeah! I was glad to hear that you had an awesome weekend of llama healing, hony riding and the like! Also glad to hear of the altitude headache! Just in a jealous sort of way...not for real. Anyways...good for you! I'm so proud of how brave you are...little old ladies, scabby wounds and shots in the der-e-air! So much your arena. Thank goodness. Back in Sasebo and work has started-has it ever. John and I are thrilled to be HOME! See you when the mud sets, Gar
Honies! Hey Mach- What an adventure! Wish that we were with you. Climbed Fuji yesterday and to put it mildly, she was a %$#@*. We climbed by the full moon with the help of headlamps and the thousands of other people on the trail. You were with us in spirit, but I'm glad you didn't have to wait for me to make it up the mountain. Very jealous that you weren't affected by the heights in Peru. Can't say the same for myself as the dizzies and headaches and lack of breathe made Fuji so special!!!! tee hee! When I saw the photos of the "honies" in the grain fields, I wasn't surprised that you were in it full tilt! Also surprised that you weren't neked under that waterfall! Miss you and love ya and will be thinking of you next weekend when Julie and Hilary hit Sasebo. Which by the way we'll be home to tonight! Love you long time, Gar
