Hey Fellow Westeners. So I've now been "officially working at the hospital for one week, lol, it's kinda crazy using the word "working" but I'm getting more and more use to my role these days, still getting to grips with the hospital and the way things work, but getting there now. being asked to teach is kinda crazy given that i've only just stopped being taught, but, its actualy sort of good, helps me to relearn all the things I was taught and really helps with anatomy too haha. just need to learn more swahili. Word Up from Africa peoples. So, I arrived safe and sound and things are going, well, ok I guess. Trying my damnedest to pick up swahilli as quick as possible and I'm getting the basics I think haha, had some comedy times with the locals and me and my phrase book, but they actually give me a better deal on things when I try it and have a bit of a laugh with them so that's always good. Anyway, arrived on the 17th it was pitch black and was pretty tired lol, met at the airport by some of the head physio's at KCMC which was cool although, I think there was some confusion between me and Mathew when it came to shaking hands/hug/almost kiss on cheek combo ... not cool.
