Ignorant security guards - From: Museuminsl
I hated the pergammon museum. The security guards follow you around in case you touch any of the statues. Which are already broken and very badly damaged from years of previous neglect, also probably damaged in transit from their original sites. If you take a picture of the ishtar gate or the alter they are rushing at you to stop. The camera technology today must be amazing that it can damage solid rock? The most uninviting horrible museum in the world. Berlin is a great place, just stay away from this dump.

nice pictures - From: Living History
Hi there. I really liked your pictures and blog. I run a website called www.offtoberlin.com, which will launch in October or November. I am looking for people to submit reviews of around 300-400 words which I can put online. I'll probably show 2 in-depth public reviews per month. Each review that is put online gets a £10 WH Smith voucher. And obviously you get your name on the Internet. If you think this is something you would like to do, get my address off the site. Thanks a lot

Venice - From: Venizia
Hey Venice is fun isn't it? I didn't go last time but I've been there before on a tour about 13 years ago. Charming city. Talking about mapping, too bad you don't have the GPS-Laptop-vehicle guiding software combo I've got. I just use it to go down to Seaside, Oregon for a ham convention. It's great, you know exactly where you are... I'll let you go to sleep now, hopefully the camping site can give you quality rest. p.s. Who's Gabrielle? :-)

Jungfrau's Beautiful, eh? - From: Lauterbrunnen
How's the young lady (Jungfrau) treating you? Nice area isn't it ? Good for you make the call to go to Italy instead of getting stuck in an expensive camping ground! (The Junggrau peak is a tourist trap anyways).. Hope you'll have lots of fun. I missed those pictures, too bad internet is so expensive in CH... "Confederatio Hevetica". Byebye now.

Way to go! - From: Paris, Rive-Gauche
What an eventful day with the Metro enforcement... we are truly sorry about that.. But on the bright side, you experienced Paris at its fullness :-) So you went up to L'Arc Tripomphe, right? I didn't notice the tunnel and I tried to cross the road.. I almost got kill.. :-) Thx for the phone call earlier, so you're going to give me postcard? That's GREAT! Thanks! Enjoy your trip! Keep it up!

Bienvenue à Paris! - From: Une Canadienne en Paris
Cher Andrew: Bonjour! Ça va bien, non? So you are love with Paris... good. The "air-uh-air" (RER) I saw in Paris was a double-decker train with air-conditioning.. looked very nice for me though.. As for the metro, la carte Orange is a good deal indeed. I still got one in my posession heehee.. As regard to Basilique de Sacre-Coeur, I am pleased to no that tank-top girls are denied entry into the Church because it a sacred place for Divine worship after all. I hate to see tourists in revealing clothing in churches. Talk to you soon! -- Jonathan

From Your Friend... - From: London and Paris
Hi Andrew... I have joined travelblog and will now following your trip every day! Looks like you have a lot of success with finding internet access, good for you! Your London hostel is really a bargain, the last time I was in London I paid 40 pounds a night near St. Pancras Train station. Sorry to hear that you are not get enough "juice" from your camera, I hope have better luck... Regarding the Eurostar: 2nd class is pretty utilitarian nowadays. Only the 1st class train travel in Europe would give you so bit of "luxury" .heehee. I don't know if you notice it or not -- the rail on the British side is as well maintained as the french side so that the Eurostar travels faster after the Channel.
