Hi from Dunning!
Happy New Year to you both! Sounds a bit too hot for me, but must be lovely to feel the warmth of sun (I've forgotten what that feels like!). We've have had really bad gale force winds here with a couple of days just battening down the hatches and staying indoors. I think 'er next-door has been checking that you conservatory didn't disappear! Had the usual Dunning gang round on Monday for drinks and all day buffet. A lovely day, but of course you were missed. We didn't manage the previous record as we all ended up going over to the Dunning for a music night. This finished of the festivities really well and a good time seemed to be had by all. As usual I bought too much food, so we have lived off left overs all week. I had the last of the cheese cake for breakfast this morning before heading off to work ...... well it had fruit on top so part of my five a day! We've just taken down the Christmas tree and decorations and the house is looking very bare. Anyway glad to see you are having a great time and your photos look great. Looking forward to your next entry. Take care. Sx

Loved your blog
We never grow tired of looking at the 12 Apostle's. They are amazing. Nice photo of koala and the ibis. We saw Mission Impossible this week also and we on the edge of our seats. I had to look away as I have a fear of falling. Hopefully, your trip will be serene and you won't need Tom Cruise to straighten anyone out. Love the house boats. I wish we had seen them when we were there.

How's the trip going ? Sounds brilliant , and the photos are great ! Cruel croc/Liz comments , I have to say , Alan ! Totally jealous of how good the weather sounds , anything would be better than here , even Southampton was cold , wet and windy today ! Everyone is gearing up for Christmas here , cards and presents the order of the day : can't wait to get the shopping over and concentrate on Christmas .It's coming up to the anniversary of Scott Sharpe and I sitting stuck in the car for 12 hours+ in the snow : not a problem Down Under !! Hope you're both well , and Alan has got over his toothache ? Love Mike , Fiona and Rory

Hi from Dunning!
Well folks it looks like you are having a ball. Nothing changes here, except the nights are fair drawing in! I must say I would have liked to have seen more pics of the mud bath on the beach, but maybe that sounds just a wee bit perverted! Hope the next stage of the journey is as good, and your next van is as confortable. Have fun! Sx

We watched a group jumping into cold muddy water and decided this was not for us. A nice dry comfortable boat seemed more appealing.

Hello, I went in those caves, except we had to jump in and float down the river in the pitch black to see the glow worms. xx

Cracking photos , guys ! Great to read you're gettin on fine : how was "the" match ? Not too depressed , I hope ? Whilst England had a heat wave this week Scotland had stair rods! No surprise there ! You got more matches to see ? Mike

Hi from sunny Dunning!
Local Craypot restaurant looks interesting and I bet the food was good. Loving the Irish skydiver photo (poor chap), and your whale photo is great, I would have loved to have seen that. Hope Scotland do better than they did in their last match.............but again do I really give a ****? Have fun.......and think of us about to experience an Indian summer! Liz does a bungy jump
Fantastic photos!!! I love your little penguin. We were on the Black Isle last week, not quite as spectacular, but good for us, and we got to sit outside in the sunshine, it was very warm (for a while)!! We're off to sunny Scarborough next week for a 're-union', only we're taking the caravan, cos of 'dementure dog'. Lovely to hear your voices on the phone today. Keep enjoying yourselves. Just off down the Den for a wee walkie, I'll miss taking Bran with me!! xxxx

Cold here too!
Hi folks Glad you've arrived safely. Yes Bangkok is a long way, especially when you think of it as a stop over to break the journey. Photos are great especially the glacial lake which looks fantastic! Hope you get the heating working soon. It's be pretty cold here and I actually put the heating on yesterday, as got too cold to concentrate on the Sunday papers! It might have helped had we moved off our backsides! You missed a good day on Saturday with the Dunning 500. I managed to sell 4 of my mounted photos and some junk. Jan & Jacky did well too and dressed up (see photos on facebook), unlike me in just a witches hat. The rain managed to hold off until the end and there were loads of folk in the park with plenty of stalls. Manged to get Joe, Caroline & Andy in the stocks but unfortunately no tomatoes to hand! By the way you didn't win anything later at the Duck Race (neither did I). There was music in the Dunning later with Jim, Joe and Ray creating a great atmosphere. Anyway hope all goes well and Scotland win at the rugby (not that I really give a ....!). Take care and happy travelling! Sx

Hi Alan and Liz Taormina looks lovely , just the kind of place Fiona and I love ! You're spot on about Italian drivers , we were also convinced that all Italian cars had no indicators fitted ! And Italians park by bumping their way into their chosen gap ! Hope you've found a suitable bar to watch the Calcutta Cup : 3 nil to Scotland after 14 mins...... Shit , 3 all now ! (Damn that Jonny Wilkinson!!!) Love Mike , Fiona and Rory xxx
