The 13hour bus journey actually wasn't as bad as i thought, i must have slept a fair bit because it seemed to pass by quickly enough despite the fact i was being used as a pillow by a welsh girl who would be on the same Fraser trip. The hostel had a mini bus waiting at the bus depo which made my day as i really didnt want to have to have to wander round tryin to find the place, once at the hostel i treated myself to a great 2 hours of sleep and then headed out for some lunch at a bar / reataraunt place, looking at the menu i decided that a spicy tuna roll sounded good so i went ahead and orderd it and sat back content with my choice, 10 minutes

Hello and welcome to Top Gear! I finally left WA and am in Queensland now. Managed to miss my flight and was actually drunk in a Perth pub when i should have been flying over here so i had to kiss goodbye to $500 for a new flight, never again. Queensland is awesome, ther weather is perfect and the atmosphere is great, first stop was Cairns which is a really cool town and renound for its party scene but as id lost myself the 500 i didnt party as much as id have liked, spent most of my time there either chilling or organising my travel southwards, i also booked my self a boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef whioch was wicked, the boat was slower than the average duck but thats what you get

Im back! I'd have updated sooner but my camera was on the blink and wouldnt turn on, after some intensive investigation the battery charger was discovered as the fault and has been replaced, and on a similar subject ive also had to buy a new phone.Exciting stuff! I have ended up in a little town called Dunsborough in the south west of WA which is slap bang in the middle of the wine region. I was sent down here origionally by the guy who ran a job centre at my hostel in Perth along with 7 others to do some grape vine pruning and after a 3hr hung over bus journey from hell i arrived and my first impressions of the place were alot better than that last dump - there are people here and shops and

Hello again! After 4 days in the sunny city of Darwin (which isn't much bigger than Wigton if you ask me) i caught my flight to Perth, 4 days in Darwin were enough as there really aint very much happening there except that the weather combined with the amount of bars made it feel a bit like a mini Magaluff meaning that when i arrived in Perth the old bank balance was looking a bit depleted. The most exciting things other than a bar was feeding the hundreds of fish that come into the harbour everyday - was pretty impressive to see so many fishies eating out of your hand and a visit to a Crocodile farm. My first two weeks in Perth were pretty good despite the lack of cash which was all but

My job ended so i left Melbourne on a 3 week road trip to Darwin. I looked at tours and decided they were to expensive so then i looked around the Hostels for people with a car who were loooking for travel mates heading the same way, i found 3 people called Suzi (germany), Rick (netherlands) and Heiner (germany) and they wanted to do the exact route i had in mind, so a week after losing the job i finally left Melbourne and first up was the Great Ocean Road. Suzi and Rick slept in the camper van and Heinen and i were assigned a crap tent. As far as roads next to oceans go i gotta admit this one was pretty great, our first stop was at the world famous Bells Beach which to

Hello one and all, im still alive and breathing, im also still in good old Melbourne - i will leave one day i promise. Since my last blog over a month ago i have to be honest in that not too much has happened that anyone in the world would consider exciting except for 3 things. 1) Im now working for a company called Harry The Hirer doing Marquee work along with every other backpacker in Melbourne i think, its ok work and you get to see areas you'd never normally see at events like the G.P and things, the money is pretty turd to be honest ($16 Ph before tax) and you get paid every 2 weeks which seems an eternity but it does look good to see almost a grand go into the bank...

Well, im still in good old Melbourne, and im a working man once again! But first i should tell you all that i saw new years in on the beach, it was warm and not a gale or rain cloud in sight, i dont recall much of the evening as i had a cold which meant i managed to get way more drunk way quicker than normal, but i awoke in the morning in my own bed and in one piece with a half eaten sausage roll next to my head - and yes i did finish it of for breakfast. For the past 3 weeks i have been running round random suburbs "delivering" Yellow Pages, the idea is that you are meant to be able to do 2 loads per day - 420 books per

Hello. I ended up spending yet another night in Canberra as i missed my re-booked bus by about 20 seconds, i did have the pleasure of watching it trundle out of the bus station when i arrived though, so instead of going back of the hostel i'd just checked out of i booked into a cheaper / shitter one for one night that was right across from the bus station, then went all the way back to the train station to book another ticket. Had an uneventfull day, but went and saw a lifeguard film with Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Costner which was all right, and was woken 3 times in the night - the first was a small spider crawling on me, the second was a funny looking fella with a speech inpediment who was

My first stop after i left Sydney was good old Coffs Harbour which is further up the east coast and took about 8 hours to reach on the train, the train felt really slow but when i spoke to people who did the same journey on the bus it turned out to be pretty much the same. I chose Coffs Harbour only because it was the first place i had heard of, it was a nice little town and the weather was good while i was there, it felt really small after Sydney but also a nice change. As it happened the night i arrived at the Aussietel hostel it was punch night! They had a huge drum thing holding loads of punch and you just kept on filling your mug up again and again, and

Hello again, im still in Sydney, have been for exactly 2 weeks now and i wont be here for much longer, but more on that later. I think Ross left on Saturday, but i can't be 100% sure of that because i'd lost track of what day is untill today, but anyway the day he left i eventually woke up and checked my self out of the Wake Up hostel and headed on over to the hostel i'd found the day before which was considerably cheaper and just as good in my opinion, this hostel was called the 'Big Hostel' although to be fair it was a fairly medium sized hostel, i dumped my bag and got chatting to this lovely - yet sadly ugly girl in the room and i went along with her to
