Hey, so you went through Oklahoma? I didn't know there was a memorial of the bombing up, and I was there last summer! When the bombing occured, I was at a junior in high school as well, and it was scary because I thought my dad might be involved because he was working in that area instead of his usual station in our city...anyway, look forward to hearing more about your trip! Are you planning to settle in Seattle now? Keep me posted, okay?
Bathroom stops Hey maybe the Prius and it's awesome gas mileage might be part of the reason why you've been having to stop more frequently for yourself than for the car. ;)
deja vu Girl, I have those exact pictures. Funny. And they bring back happy and not-so-happy-altitude-sickness memories. Thank goodness for American acupuncturists!
Are you here to stay? Ing - what can I say? Are you finally here to stay or are you going to be jetting off again? I bet it is strange to be back in Dallas after all this time. The list you have made here is great...hopefully, I will be able to travel to some of these places. (The list will be quite handy I am sure.) Enjoy time in Dallas! - Linya
When are you coming home? Ingrid - the pictures are amazing. I'm glad that you kept this journal for all of us to experience your travel. But the most importanat question, when are you coming back to Dallas?
Take care
Kenny
Lake Agnes Photo Really great shot! Worth a print in my opinion, needs a little straightening. You should hop over to jeber.com sometime, see the "blind pig" for some ideas for your travel photos. Anyway - hope that you settle back in to normal life without too much post travel depression - and that your next adventure follows soon :)
Ing! Welcome back! I can hardly believe that you are back in the States. Love the pics you have had throughout your blog. I look forward to catching up with you soon. Take care!

female traveling alone I just turned 19 (jan 26th!!) and I have started to plan a trip to India, Tibet, Nepal. I am looking to leave in Novemeber 2005. I have talked a little bit to friends and family about going, but no one is very serious, so I am doubtful that I will find a travel partner. I live in the middle of the United States and I was just wondering what it has been like for you to travel alone and if you have any advice for a young woman traveling alone. Also, I am planning to travel for 4-6 months and I was hoping that you would be able to give me a good idea on a budget for that region. Thank you. - Whitney
Australia is a big place! Your comments on Australia being a big place are interesting becuase lots of tourists that visit here think they can do a whirlwind trip then realise on arrival that "oh wow this is such a big country". But if you miss places it just gives you a reason to return! - Rob B
