Gracias

We had a fabulous time, I am sure you wont be disappointed! We were there before the upgrade of the Lion Hill property and loved it. We were very lucky to meet the owner, Kevin who was delightful and showed us around the town, off the immediate tourist trail. Let us know if you need any further info, we love re living our trip! Deb
Wonderful Trip review I am planning a trip for my husband and I to Lijiang in Aoril 2011. I would like to get more information on The Tea Galleria Hotel thatyou stayed in. Could you send me an internet site. Thanks !
Backpacks Hi,
Apologies for the slow reply. The backkpacks were from the Kathmandu store in Australia. As it turned out we only used the wheeled option, they were always pretty heavy. I would say that you could carry them and that was to be our intention but not for long distances. Happy planning! Deb and family
Great reading so far. Hi there, I am really enjoying your blog so far and will definitely take notes on the good, the bad and the ugly!
Just a quick question. What brand were the bags you showed earlier in your preparation blog? Some look like wheeled backpacks? If so, did you find this handy to have wheels as well as the backpack capacity? Would love to hear your opinion since you have been there and done that and we are in the planning. Thanks.
inforequest Dear Deb
Liked your blog. We're a family of 4 and will visit malaysia in july. The Semporna area is also on our list, but the reports are mixed. Like Dirty rat invested town, clean reliable hotels very expensive etc. The resorts are out of our league.
Is it worthwhile to visit this area for about 3 nights (taking 2 boat day excursions to the neighbouring island)?
And how's Singamata Reef lodge (I read moist and dirty toilets!) ? Hope you can and will inform us. Greetings from Holland. Kind regards Ronald Koopman
Awesome blog Seems like a very nice trip. I am going to be there in Cambodia April 2010 and your blog helped me. (like mine has helped other people www.sunilshinde.com . Keep up the good work)
Siem Reap Hi Deb and Family,
So exciting to hear of your travels in Siem Reap. I love the place too. Did you go to the Dead Fish cafe?? I agree the people are lovely people. I spent two weeks volunteering at the Angkor Childrens hospital dental clinic. Tell Mitch it didn't have dirt floors!! You are having an amazing time. Enjoy
Love and best wishes

Bus to Siem Reap from Battambang I have just read your enjoyable report. I am taking a bus from BB to SR on 5th March 2010.
Questions: Which bus to take - I am a solo 65-year old Irish lady travelling alone in Asia. I will arrive from Phnom Penh on 3rd March on another bus, which my hotel will book for me. As I only have 2 days in BB can you suggest what I should do during this time? Is there any other way of getting from BB to SR - quicker?? Thank you for your advice.
Another action-packed installment! How gorgeous are those pigmy elephant. And Glenn has always told me that a large nose and pot belly are his best traits! They must be onto a good thing! Love to all xx
Mac and his crepe! I wondered what sort of a blog you were sending, so I was relieved to find it was just Mac lusting after a crepe!
Gosh they must be good!
I've thought it before, but these are possibly the most beautiful photos yet - stunning!
Fantastic! All that nothin! Hi guys, as I read this I am at KLIA waiting for my homeward bound chariot. After reading the beginning, I am thinking, "Do I really have to return to Life?" Really???" I think it is too dangerous to read the whole thing until I am strapped into my seat and the plane has pushed back from the gate hahaha. Laos was an incredible experience. I saw some amazing stuff and I met some very cool and interesting Lao folks and fellow travelers along the way. But I am still trying to discover why it didn't touch me in the Cambodia has. I find it an interesting question for myself. We'll see what I come up with. Have a great time in Borneo and beyond and with your return to Oz. We'll be in touch! Fond regards to all!
It was great meeting you all! Another entertaining story! It was a real pleasure meeting your clan in Siem Reap. I have rarely met a family that is so adventurous and where each member of the family is a brilliant personality all to him or herself. It was a highlight of my time there to spend some time with you all. Luang Prabang was incredible. I am in Vientiane for one night on my way to Phonsavan and I will reserve judgment on Vientiane until I return for a few days. I wish you all the best on this trip of yours and will follow your blog closely. Be well and the warmest regards to all. I bet Mack is making a face right now! Cheers!
Another great read No doubt you're sick of hearing it but what an amazing family you are. Zoe will love reading this episode just as much as the others, no doubt. Travel safe xx
wow guys!! AMAZING! So glad your having a great time...shame about the flu though. Hopefully one day i'll get to take Amani to all these beautiful places :) Email soon!
Great to see U r on the road again! Wonderful to be following your new adventures! I am going to be in Siem Reap from Oct 9 - Oct 24 and then off to Laos till Nov 5. If you are going to be in SR while I am there drop me an email and maybe we can meet! Happy travels!
Hi, Read your blog with interest. We are looking for somewhere decent to stay at in Dali next month. Do you know the web site of Sunny Lodge where you stayed in Dali - or anywhere else to recommend (or avoid!!). Thanks
Cambodia Loved reading - we are going to Siem Reap in April next year. I have a 13 yo and believe he will be a great education and appreciate what he has at home.
