| 25th December 2007 willyn | - From: The Manila Pen Experience im sorry that your trip was soured by some dumb politicians actions. im neither for the opposition nor for the administration. they could all kill each other for all i care. what i do care about is the effect of such stupid and self serving acts. what trillanes did was really a behavior of a petulant boy who did not get what he wants so he pulls a stupid tantrum like this. not only did he manage to draw unwanted attention to the country, he also managed to make himself like a major ass. the sad thing about the whole this is events like this is staple media news. somewhere, wherever, some jerk of a politician will cause controversy on a pretense of "doing it for the country" for his/her self-serving needs. too much politicking. thats the problem. and we wonder why the country got to where it is now... |

| 27th June 2007 David | nice pix - From: Accelerated Adrenaline Rush in Nevada hey manny, yeah riding atvs are fun. i tried them for the first time when I was in cabo san lucas a few years ago for a friend's bachelor party weekend. we headed out for most of the day and took the atvs out by the dunes and by the beach. it was a lot of fun and it was actually pretty easy to drive. i'd definitely do it again. |
| 8th April 2007 14 Hours in Hong Kong | Barcelona suggestions - From: Barcelona memories Hi Margaret! I'm sure both countries would be wonderful to visit during the summer, though I've never been to Italy. To avoid being pickpocketed, don't carry a lot of cash and use your hotel room safe, if applicable, regardless of how trusting the staff appears to be. If you opt for Barcelona, try visiting the Ciuta Viella and Eixample areas for fresh, tasty tapas and cava. My friends had recommended such for my next visit. La Rambla is very popular with the tourists, but dining options are more expensive and less diverse; it does, however, offer Irish and English pubs as a comfort zone if you'd like to share your stories and adventures with other English-speaking visitors. Have fun with whatever you ultimately choose to do! |
| 6th April 2007 FoodieFanatic | Any suggestions? - From: Barcelona memories Hi Manny (that's my Dad's name too), I am a single female and I am trying to decide if I should travel to either Spain or Italy this summer. I am itchy to leave the US and get out for some adventure. I am big into food, wine, adventure. Do you have any suggestions regarding Barcelona? Have you been to Italy? Advice as to how not to get pick pocketed? I'm thinking you've come up w/ a new packing method by now. Thanks! |
