1. Some reasons some books are banned in high schools because the books has sex, profanity, and racism as the primary categories, and they want to protect the children from this.

2. I agree with the reasoning behind banning the books because of categories including racism. Although this is a part of history, most students find this offensive in a classroom setting. This can cause conflict between different ethnicities of students, if they stat opinions about racism.

3. The reasons I dont agree with is banning the books because they include sex. They have sex education classes in most high schools, so why not be able to read about this? I believe high school students should be able to read about these topics because they have the first ademndment, the right to express their views. There shouldnt be any limitations to students increasing their knowledge by reading certain types of books. Students have freedom and they shouldnt be restricted to the rights to access books.

4. I believe the government and the parents pressure teachers on what they should and shouldnt teach. Parents have the rights to guide their children's reading and can come up to the schools and make complaints if they disagree with what a teacher is teaching. This will cause the principal to get involved and have the teacher reconsider the teachings. The govenment can make the board of education stop teaching certain subjects or material for every school.

5. If one wanted to fight against book censorship, they could have a group of students and parents go to the governement. They could go to the government with valid reasons why certain books shouldnt be censered. The students can show their concern with them not being able to read certain books, while parents can state how if it isn't a problem for the parents letting the children read the books, then why should they be censored?
